Alya persuades Leanne to support Kal at the Rovers vs. The Sticky Wicket cricket match, but Zeedan is not impressed when she turns up. Kylie is exhausted, so Audrey offers to look after Max, however when Lily won't even settle down, Kylie is pushed closer to the edge. Jason begs Tyrone and Fiz to not involve a solicitor, but they have already made their minds up. Tracy strikes up another deal with Tony. Lloyd and Andrea's romantic picnic is ruined by Neil.
Kylie is blaming herself for the fact that Max is having to take medication, as she realises that maybe his pills are actually working. At the salon, she can't stand Audrey praising Fiz on the behaviour of her girls. With Lily still not settling, Kylie gets distracted from Audrey's accounts by the box of pills meant for Max. Eileen and Eva hope that Tony can sort out whatever is going on between Jason and Tyrone, as he still refuses to listen to any apologies. When Tony approaches Fiz, she takes what he's saying as a threat and this just angers Tyrone more. Andrea discovers that Neil lied to her about hearing from Jess, she hopes that a final confrontation will stop him. Ken discovers Tracy and Rob are still going ahead with the wedding plans despite Peter's situation.
Kylie has been up all night trying to complete the accounts, over-exhausted she hopes to take some painkillers before heading into work but she takes two of Max's pills instead. David is impressed as she is clearly less worried, but as she confides in Eva will she admit to taking the pills. Lloyd is upset when he sees that Neil has placed a newspaper announcement celebrating his and Andrea's wedding anniversary. Later Andrea is unimpressed when he sits at the table right next to them at the Bistro. Tony pours his heart out to Eileen, as he's upset that Jason is giving him the cold shoulder. Alya tells Julie that it seems obvious that Dev fancies her. Amy accidentally cuts her hand and in an attempt to cause trouble blames Eccles for biting her.
Eva urges Kylie to admit to taking some of Max's pills before David realises that they have disappeared. Kylie feels guilty and psyches herself up to tell him the truth. Neil continues to wind Andrea and Lloyd up, as they try and enjoy their meal, showing Lloyd pictures of their past wedding anniversaries, pushing Andrea to the end of her tether as Lloyd tries to contain his anger. Eileen hopes that Jason will forgive Tony. Todd isn't impressed as both Jason and Tony make it clear they want nothing to do with him. Tracy tells Deidre she wants Eccles put down for biting Amy. Mary looks on, feeling jealous as Dev and Julie enjoy a drink together. Michael starts revealing all about his fragmented family to Gail.
Jason doesn't want Fiz and Tyrone to get lawyers involved, but Todd's interference makes the situation worse. Todd realises he has to make amends with the family and heads to the garage. Andrea tells Neil that she has begun divorce proceedings, she is shocked when he threatens to kill himself. Lloyd is concerned and so using Andrea's keys let's himself into Neil's flat. Peter returns to prison and is warned by Jim to watch his back. Steve visits his father to thank him for saving Peter's life. Maddie promises Simon to help rescue Eccles. Kylie lies to get a repeat prescription for Max's medication.
Tyrone is bemused when he finds that the garage has been broken into and nothing is missing. He assumes that Tony is responsible for the break-in and calls it in, before confronting him. Todd worries if his scam has worked or not. Lloyd realises that Neil was planning on trying to win Andrea back by preparing a meal for her. After Lloyd threatens Neil and tells him to stay away, he is shocked when later that day the police pay him a visit. Steve agrees to visit Jim with Amy, much to his mums dismay. Maddie and Sophie steal Eccle''s with help from Simon.
Jim makes it clear to Peter that Steve can't find out he provided the booze that almost killed him. After Peter and Clelland find that their cell has been trashed, they realise Jim has paid them a visit. Tony tries to fix the rift between Jason and Tyrone and Fiz again, offering them £5,000 to drop the case. Eileen and Eva hope to help them win them over as well. Ken and Deidre search for Eccles. Neil continues to harass Andrea and Lloyd, and Andrea doesn't know whether to tell the police or not. Gail helps Michael set up a online profile to find his family.
Peter finds out that Steve is bringing Amy to visit Jim from Tracy. Tracy can tell he is bothered and pushes him into admitting it was Jim who gave him the alcohol and reveals all about the blackmailing. He tells Tracy to tell Steve the truth, but she is worried what the implications for Steve will be. Michael learns his father had died and arranges to meet an Aunt to find out more information, she reveals he suffered from a heart condition, so he is worried he may of inherited the condition. Tim can't stop sneezing as his allergies play up with Eccle's hidden in the house. Maddie starts her job packing at Underworld to make up for the debt she has to Carla. Dev and Julie head for a drink, leaving a upset Mary to babysit.
Tracy wants Steve to stay quiet about Jim's alcohol racket, as she is concerned about implications on Peter. Steve confronts his father, who admits he didn't know how ill Peter is, later he pays Peter a visit. Michael is worried he will die young like his father, Gail insists he see a doctor. Ken busts Maddie and Sophie when he spots them walking Eccles. Simon admits his involvement and explains that Amy lied about the dog biting her. Ken hopes that he can convince Amy to tell the truth. Mary feels threatened by Julie.
Ken and Deidre are furious when they find out Jim was providing Peter the booze, the pair worry when they go to visit at the prison and Peter doesn't show. Peter's been taken by 2 fellow prisoners to go and see Jim. Gail offers to accompany Michael to the doctors, but he disappears before his appointment, leaving Gail to worry that he's had a heart attack. Todd is still been blamed for the incident with the chipboard, as everyone blanks him at breakfast. He hopes Eileen will listen to him, but Jason drops a bombshell as he decides he can't stand living under the same roof as Todd anymore and moves in with Eva. Sophie tells everyone that Kevin is coming home tomorrow. Everyone is impressed with Maddie at the factory. Andrea spends the day tidying Lloyd's flat, hoping to avoid Neil.
Ken and Deidre are about to report Peter as missing, when he turns up in the visiting room, trying to hide the pain he is in. He asks if they will keep quiet as he's scared Jim will just beat him again. But back at home, Deidre urges Liz to speak to Jim. Eileen is upset that Jason's moving out and when drunk tells Sean how she hates the person Todd has become. She isn't aware that Todd hears every word. Gail tells Michael she will stand by him, no matter what his diagnosis comes back with. But Audrey and Nick are worried she will end up becoming his carer. Tim isn't happy that Sally didn't inform him of Kevin's return.
Eileen doesn't know what to do when Tony chucks £50 at Todd and tells him to leave town. Rodd gets drunk at the Rovers. Michael bumps into Eileen and tells her it would be a mistake to become estranged from her family, so Eileen goes after him. However when she catches him arguing with Michael and Sophie, she's less then impressed. Peter surveys his bruises as Jim warns him more is to come. Liz faces up to Jim and wants him to leave Peter alone for Ken and Deidre's sake. Jim agrees but says he wants Liz to regularly visit him. Andrea and Lloyd try a different approach and speak to Neil genially, but Neil warns them he still wants to make their lives a living hell. Kevin arrives back with Jack, exciting Sophie. Tim decides to go for a drink with Kevin to try and clear the air.
Neil overhears Lloyd talking to Michelle about her wedding planning and mistakes it for him talking about marrying Andrea. He takes Tim's ladder and climbs onto the roof of the Rovers insisting he will only speak to Andrea and that he'll only come down if she breaks up her engagement to Lloyd and returns to him. Andrea is fuming and heads up the ladder, but ends up slipping and is left clinging to the guttering. Eva takes pity on a homeless Todd and invites him to stay at her flat, shocking Jason. Michael heads to the doctors. Maddie is shocked when Carla makes her a permanent job offer and pays her for the time she has spent at the factory so far. Beth plans her wedding.
Andrea's life is left hanging in the balance and a petrified Neil has to reach out in hopes of saving her. Lloyd tries to grab her as well, but can't quite reach, as she slips, Neil is the only one who can save her life. Kylie bumps into Nick who's short staffed, she offers to help him out. But David is furious when he finds out she's working and demands she come home. Eva is shocked when she asks Kylie if she has taken anymore of Max's pills. Jason is fuming when he visits Eva and finds out Todd is living with her. Michael is referred to a specialist to find out if he has the heart defect. Kevin has to help Tim down from the roof, much to his embarrassment. Sally takes Tim into her arms, as Kevin watches on. Sophie notices and asks her Dad if he still has feelings for her.
David disturbs Kylie when she plans to take more of Max's pills. But as the day goes on she believes David is picking up another prescription, so takes the last of his pills. David is soon delayed going to the chemist and it's then shut. Tim's patience is tested looking after a sick Sally, who grows concerned when he discards a application form for a new job. Neil tells Andrea and Lloyd he's planning on leaving the country. Julie arranges to see Dev at the gym, but Mary invites herself along.
David catches Kylie out, as he catches her taking the last of Max's pills. He storms out with the kids to pick up Max's prescription, worried about leaving the kids alone with Kylie, he takes them with him. She breaks down and pours her heart out to Eva. When David returns, he locks the pills away. Maddie grows suspicious of Tim when he dips out of playing Scrabble and decides to go to the pub with Kevin. Neil reveals he has got his old job back, abroad - Lloyd decides to drive him to the airport. Mary and Julie continue battling for Dev's affections.
David continues to give Kylie the silent treatment, after spending the night on the sofa. Kylie wants to get to the bottom of Max's troubles and so heads back to her old neighbourhood. Once there, she bumps into her old friend, Gemma. Gemma admits Max's Dad is still around and she will tell him that Kylie is looking for him. Mary is upset when Julie says she can take her place babysitting the twins. Dev is happy when he heads home and the kids have had a great time. Maddie finally gets Tim to admit that he has issues with reading. She offers to help him, but in return he gets mad and kicks her out. Yasmeen wants to get her community centre idea off the ground.
Kylie tells David she feels unwell and is unable to go to work. Once he heads out, she goes for the bus. Eva bumps into her and the pair head back to Kylie's old neighbourhood. Here she bumps into Gemma again, and eventually Callum, Max's Dad. Tim is thrilled with the flyers he has produced for his window cleaning business, but due to a unfortunate spelling mistake, they don't have the impact he had envisioned. Mary is furious when she hears Rita and Norris gossiping about a romance between Dev and Julie. Liz tells Eileen that Jim is using Peter to blackmail her into visiting him.
Eva is shocked when she see's how Kylie is with Callum - laughing and joking, rather then talking about Max. He gives Kylie his number as they go to leave. When she returns home, Max and David have prepared her a special meal, making her feel guilty. Maddie and Tim race around Weatherfield, hoping to gather up all the mis-spelt flyers. Sally has already taken a call from a prospective client and is fuming, when he returns home. Eileen wants Liz to defy Jim and tell Deidre about the blackmail. But after Deidre thanks Liz over helping with Peter, Liz can't come clean to her, Steve or Tony. Dev makes his love situation more awkward with Mary and Julie.
Tony's suspicions about Liz continue to mount, as she confides in Eileen and Sean that she is going to see Jim and tell him to leave Peter alone. Sean accidentally tells Tony were Liz has really gone. Work on refurbishing the butchers into a community centre, see's tensions between Kal and Zeedan hit a all time high, as Zeedan refuses to cook for Leanne. Alya is furious, as Leanne tells Kal she doesn't want to cause issues in the family. Gary and Alya almost get caught out by Kal. Kylie convinces Eva that Callum is in the past and that she is only bothered about David and the kids.
Tony isn't impresssed by Liz lying and meets her at the prison gates, demanding she doesn't go in. Liz tells him she doesn't do ultimatums and goes in anyway. She is furious when Jim says the only reason he'd lay off Peter is if she continues to visit him. Tony goes back home and starts packing his bags. Gary and Alya continue flirting, leading Zeedan to invite him to their Eid celebrations. Deidre feels terrible about the predicament Liz is now in.
Deidre feels to the strain at the Barlow's as Ken continues to drone on about Peter's trial. Carla is round for dinner, as Rob has invited her round for dinner. Peter rings the house and asks to speak to Carla, who hangs up on him. Tracy is furious and Deidre ends up losing the plot. Ken suggests she spends some time away with her friend Bev. Kylie goes to give Max his pill and realises that David has locked the cupboard. Furious as he still clearly doesn't trust her, she heads to the Rovers and gets steaming drunk. When she returns home she begs David to forgive her. Alya tells Gary to forget about their kiss as their cultures are too different. Liz tries to forget about Tony as Steve worries when he finds a mole on his arm.
Steve makes an appointment with the Doctor about his mole. The Doctor reassures him the mole is nothing, but thinks something else may be troubling him. Kylie suggests the family head off for a trip to the seaside. However David has to work, so unaware that he has managed to get the afternoon off from Audrey, Kylie heads to the Dog and the Gun and spends the afternoon with Gemma and Callum. She asks Callum to find something to give her a lift. Rob agrees to attend Peter's trial, when he is railroaded by Ken and Tracy. Kirk and Beth struggle with all the extra hours they are putting in. Sinead comes up with a plan, which means they won't be working themselves into the ground.
Steve tells the Doctor he's not himself and feels like his life is pointless. The doctor thinks he is suffering from depression, but he skirts around the issue and refuses to tell Liz what's actually bothering him. Callum keeps taunting Kylie, reminding her of her past, before giving her some speed. David tells Audrey how worried he is about her behaviour and that he doesn't believe she is with a friend. Kylie gets back and Audrey tells her she has to grow up. Sinead and Chesney explain to Beth and Kirk their money-saving plans for their wedding. Peter phones Carla and tells her he still loves her, leaving her shaken.
Rob manages to get out of going to Peter's trial, as he helps Carla move into her new house. Rob and Carla look after Simon for the afternoon, who tells them that he misses his real mum and Tina. Rob takes Simon to visit Tina's grave. After Rob assures him his Dad had nothing to do with her murder, Simon asks who did. Steve is nervous as he's called as a witness at the trial. Norris overhears him talking to himself. Roy heads to the witness box. Kylie begs Callum for more drugs.
Peter's hopes of been found innocent dwindle as more evidence is given against him. He tells Cllelland that he thinks Carla's statement alone would be enough to have him put away for good. Rob tells Simon he doesn't know who killed Simon, but reassures him it wasn't Peter. Ken is furious when he finds out. Steve has a panicked outburst in the witness box. He then tells Liz and Michelle he's worried he may of made things worse for him. Roy is overcome with emotion when he receives a letter addressed to both him and Hayley. David notices that Kylie is acting odd when she gets home.
Carla is called as a witness and delivers a shocking statement about Peter's affair with Tina. Carla tells the court she doesn't believe he is capable of murder, meaning Peter believes she still loves him. After a group of teens attempt to vandalise the memorial for Tina, Roy confides in Anna about how much he misses Hayley. Roy plans to head to Blackpool with Tyrone and the family to scatter her ashes. Steve makes himself more and more isolated, ignoring calls from Eileen, who finds him listening to music in his cab. Todd does a poor job of looking after Rob and Tracy's shop.
Roy gets more anxious about scattering Hayley's ashes. Maddie and Sophie discover his flat has been broken into. Peter is called to the witness box, and he announces that Tina was just a bit of fun - he's always loved Carla. He struggles to keep his cool when challenged by the prosecution. Liz confides in Eileen about how Jim is pestering her from prison. Tony turns up in the pub, both him and Liz stubbornly keep glancing at one another. Audrey is overcome with fear when she goes to drive her car away, after picking it up from Luke.
Roy's flat is completely ransacked. Luke offers to help Audrey out with her driving. Eva wants Liz and Tony to sort out their problems. Peter's verdict is delivered.
Peter nervously waits in his prison cell for the jury to reach a verdict. Whilst waiting Jim ends telling him he may as well accept that he is going to be behind bars for life. After that Peter’s solicitor arrives to tell him that the jury have reached a verdict and he’s required back in the courtroom.
Roy is not himself since been broken into and is shaken when he spots a couple of teenagers hanging around again. He then locks himself into the café.
Liz goes to visit Jim in prison and tells him she isn't visit again. She’s shocked when Jim announces that he’ll be able to visit her in future as he’s being transferred to an open prison.
Peter is in shock as his verdict is revealed, meanwhile Rob does his best to hide his feelings. Will Peter be going down for a murder he didn’t commit? Carla is now convinced that Peter is innocent and she wonders, to Rob, who really killed Tina.
Jim admits to Liz that he is hoping once he’s released, they can get back together. Liz is horrified of this, she informs him it is never going to happen. How will Steve react when Liz tells him that Jim was never bothered about seeing him
again, it was just an excuse to try and win her back.
Roy joins Fiz, Sinead and Beth in the Rovers, Sinead realises he is avoiding being home alone because he is still nervous as a result of the burglary.
Steve visits Jim, in prison and tells him he knows Jim was only using him to get to Liz and how he resorted to blackmail using Peter as his tool. Angry with his Dad, Steve reports Jim for using a mobile phone to harass Liz. Jim then gets he’s away by the prison officers.
On the street Tony and Liz are celebrating they’re back together but the mood is interrupted when Steve arrives, clearly shaken. Liz then suggests to Tony he should move into the Rovers with her, what will Steve think about it?
Kylie does her best to appear normal in front of David, she is on a come-down from her last drug hit. Now alone in the salon she’s about to take her last wrap of speed when Maria arrives with Liam. Quickly Kylie hides the drug in her nail box. When Liam opens the box and starts playing with the contents, Kylie starts to shout and makes Liam cry.
Tyrone and Fiz are aware that Roy doesn’t like being alone in his flat so they invite him for dinner with Chesney and Sinead. When there is a knock at the door everyone is stunned as Cilla enters, holding an overnight bag with her wrist in plaster. What will Fiz and Chesney do?
Kylie is felling irritated as she is trying to cover another come down. Callum phones her demanding to see her she’s shocked and lies making out that she has a nail appointment, she then tracks him down to the pub. He then hands her another wrap of speed revealling he wants to see his son, Max. Kylie is horrified and tells him it’s really not a good idea she rushes off.
Liz and Tony are like a couple of excitable teenagers when moving his belongings into the Rovers. Meanwhile he is determined cheer Steve up and put a spark back in their relationship, Michelle tells him she’s treating him to lunch in the bistro.
Also after Cilla has spent the night on Fiz and Tyrone’s sofa, she insists on buying them lunch in the café. Fiz is convinced she is doing it for a reason but Cilla’s absolutely charming. Convincing Fiz that she’s up to something.
Kylie angrily warns Callum that he has crossed the line. She lies to David about another evening nail appointment, she tracks Callum down in the pub and tells him to stay away from Max and her family. She goes to leave but Gemma collapses having overdosed. Kylie’s terrified her friend could die and accompanies her to hospital. Gemma fights for her life Kylie vows to give up drugs. It ends up being too little too late as a suspicious David confronts Kylie back at home.
Michelle is aware there is something bothering Steve, she does her best to talk to Steve. Will he open up to her? Michelle later talks to Liz and Eileen that she thinks Steve’s gone off her.
Tracy is excited as she prepares for her wedding and at her hen do in the 'Rovers' she tells the girls that Rob is her soul mate. Meanwhile Rob spends his stag night with Carla where she questions him about the night of Tina’s murder. He then gets irritated by her obsessive questioning, he claims that he and Tracy left their engagement party, returned home and had sex on the sofa. Kylie manages to secretly phones the hospital and is relieved that Gemma has been discharged. David goes to read Max a story she then flushes her last wrap of speed down the sink. Gary and Alya get to enjoy a romantic walk, they are clearly smitten with each other. As they are walking Gary promises take things slowly.
Carla tells Rob that she knows he is lying about his alibi and she thinks that he is covering up for Tracy, the real murderer. When Carla reaches for her phone, as she wants to call the police, Rob stops her. Rob then explains Tracy was driving a van with stolen gear in it, when Tina was murdered and they lied to the police knowing they would be sent down if the police knew. Rob then tells Carla how much he loves Tracy and that he is looking forward to settling down with her and having children. Carla then points out that Tracy’s false alibi means that he doesn't have an alibi, Rob loses his temper and storms off. Carla is then taken aback by the his outburst. Rob returns to the flat blaming it on wedding nerves. Carla is not convinced and points out how he seemed to know from the off that she was innocent, asks him if he killed Tina.
Rob's nerves are in tatters, he irons his wedding shirt, wondering what Carla will do. She is still conflicted, Carla tells Rob she needs to get ready for the wedding. Rob is relieved that she has chosen not to say anything. Tracy’s beaming with happiness when she, Amy and Ken leave for the wedding in a horse drawn carriage.
Michelle ushers the guests into the venue she is desperate for everything to be perfect after all her hard work. With the guests assembled, Rob waits nervously for Carla.
Tracy and Amy are posing for photos outside the wedding venue, Rob tries to read Carla to get an idea what she is thinking. Will Carla stand by her brother and watch the wedding go ahead or is Rob and Tracy’s perfect day about to be blown apart?
Michael explains his condition to Gail. Steve is found wallowing in self-pity by Liz. Tracy leaves a message for Rob.
They is net closing in on Rob, Tracy has to face up to the future will it be as a married woman because Rob is now on the run. Tracy then gets a call, which is from an unknown number. She is then shocked to hear what Rob has to say, he tells her, he loves she and Amy more than anything. He then goes on to beg Tracy to meet up. Liz is opening her birthday card from Tony, she tells him she can’t believe he was so stupid to get involved with Tracy. Can Tony win her round with a surprise romantic meal in the back of the Rovers? Maria calls in the garage, after a suggestion from Audrey and asks Luke if he’ll come to look at a car she’s thinking of buying. Meanwhile Michelle is at her wit’s end because she is trying to juggle her work. Michelle is also hurt to discover Steve volunteered to do a double shift at Street Cars which means he is clearly avoiding her. After several wasted phone calls, Michael manages to get a hold of his cousin Elaine who gives him an address for his son Gavin.
Beth goes to No.1 to see Tracy and then Ken is alarmed to discover she’s missing. Back at the B&B Rob explains to Tracy how he never meant to kill Tina and he wishes things were different. Tracy then accuses Rob of risking everything for Carla. Ken is searching in vain for Tracy, worried what might have happened to her. Tracy then gives Rob some cash, will she be able to face a life without Rob or will she agree to go on the run with him? Maria drives Luke to a country cottage where her appointment to view a car is, they end up bickering over her driving skills. They are out on a test drive with the car’s owner when he suddenly becomes unwell and they have to quickly call an ambulance. Maria and Luke set off on foot back to the house, they blame each other for their disastrous day.
At No.1 Tracy packs some things in a bag ready for her getaway with Rob. She is desperate to spend a last few hours with Amy. Tracy tells her she doesn't go to school and instead they’ll have a duvet day. Tracy clings to Amy whilst telling her how much she loves her. Ken arrives home saying that the police have found Rob’s murder weapon, Tracy takes off Ken’s car and makes her getaway. Then Ken realises with shock that Tracy is in contact with Rob and has chosen him over Amy. Rob is relieved to see her and tells her how much he loves her. Eileen is continuing to ignore Todd, then Roy offers him some advice, he suggests it’s time he ended the rift in the family and friends. Hooligans hurl eggs at the café, Todd is there to rescue Roy and chases them off. He helps Roy clean up the mess too. Tyrone and Fiz are impressed to hear about his good deed.
Todd is attempting to build bridges and offers to take Eileen, Jason and Eva out for dinner. First Eileen refuses but when Roy tells her about Todd’s helping hand she agrees to give him a chance and meet for dinner. Todd is happy and he arrives at the bistro ordering champagne. Jason then warns Eileen that she shouldn't believe a word Todd says as he’ll only break her heart again, Eileen does a turns away. Upset Todd walks alone in a darkened side street, where he’s set upon and mugged by a bunch of youths. Meanwhile Tracy feels terrible, she's a sleepless night, who has she said goodbye to her own daughter or Rob?
Todd is lying battered and semi-conscious then a passer-by calls an ambulance. The police contact Eileen and Jason, they then explain he’s in hospital after suffering an assault. Eileen and Jason are horrified at Todd’s injuries. Eileen is beside her self with guilt and blaming herself for abandoning him, she tells Todd how sorry she is for letting him down. Cilla cooks a lovely meal for Fiz, Tyrone, Chesney, Sinead, Beth and Kirk. Chesney then thaws towards his mum and invites her to stay with them at No.5.
Ken is excited for Peter arriving home and plans a party tea. He is thrilled to see Simon and hands him a diary he kept in prison. Steve shakes Peter’s hand and offers an apology. Eileen is felling guilty and tells Jason that when Todd is discharged from hospital he’s moving back home. Eileen, Jason, Julie and Sean visit him in hospital. Todd demands a mirror and is horrified to see the extent of his injuries. Meanwhile, Tim is preoccupied and Sally becomes suspicious, convinced he’s keeping something from her. Knowing Sally suspects something is going on, Tim tries to back out of his reading lesson but Anna doesn't let him, saying he’s doing it for Faye.
Peter is pleading with Carla to give him 5 minutes just to hear what he’s got to say. In the Rovers back room Peter thanks Carla for handing him the life line. Carla makes it clear she didn't do it for him but for the sake of justice. Eileen confides in Jason, Julie and Sean how she thinks she let Todd down and ends up blaming herself for his attack.Todd stares at his disfigured face in the mirror he breaks down. Cilla teams up Craig, Chesney is watching and becomes jealous before storming out of the house.
Michelle goes to No.1 and gives Peter an envelope containing Carla’s wedding ring. Peter’s day gets worse when Steph lays into him, saying had Tina never met him, she’d still be alive. Ken is later shocked to find a bottle of vodka in Peter’s jacket. At breaking point Peter drops a bombshell on Ken. Meanwhile, Chesney is unable to babysit Joseph, Cilla steps into help. While Cilla looks after him she slips and falls, hurting her back. In pain, she goes to the doctors leaving Joseph with Craig and Faye. When arriving home Chesney is horrified to find his son in the care of Craig and Faye. What will he think when Cilla returns from A&E and explains she’s fractured a vertebra? Todd comes home from hospital. Eileen, Jason and Eva fuss round him.
Peter agrees to rent the bookies flat to Owen, then calls in the pub and tells Steve and Michelle that he’s leaving. Michelle is glad to see him leaving whilst Steve wishes Peter well. After arranging for any rent to be paid to Leanne for Simon’s maintenance. Peter then tells the news to Simon that he’s moving to Portsmouth. Tim arranges another reading lesson with Anna, Sally notices their hushed conversation and is immediately suspicious.
Simon is clearly upset, he ends blaming himself for not believing in his own Dad’s innocence and causing him to want to leave. Peter tells Simon it’s not his fault that he leaving. Carla finds Peter and a tearful Simon on Maxine’s bench. Carla joins them and promises to Simon she will arrange for him to visit his Dad in Portsmouth whenever he wants to. Leanne confronts Gary and Alya, she demands to know what they are up to. Alya admits they’re seeing each other but she doesn't want Kal to find out.
Elsewhere, Tim is struggling on with another reading lesson, then Sally discovers Anna missing from the café and Tim turns up 40 minutes late for his lunch, Sally puts two and two together and comes up with five.
Tim and Anna are laughing in the café, Sally enters and takes notice of their intimacy. Sophie and Maddie then see Tim entering through the backdoor of No.6 carrying a bunch of flowers, they then tell Sally. Inside Anna is giving Tim his reading lesson when suddenly Sally bursts in, demanding to know what’s going on.
Michelle is preparing for the hoedown party she’s organising. It becomes clear she is going to get no help from hungover Steve. He is desperate to avoid Michelle, he sneaks back to the bistro and guiltily orders up a cocktail. Steph’s amused to see him back again. Carla is complaining about how hard it is to find a trainee manager, Alya overhears and asks if she can apply for the job.
Sally accuses Tim and Anna of having an affair and storms out in tears.Tim chases after Sally but Sophie and Maddie stop him, Sally is seething and starts through Tim’s possessions out of the bedroom window, whilst shouting abuse at Anna.Tim shouts to Sally, telling her that Anna has been teaching him to read and he’s embarrassed. Eileen is complaining to Liz and Michelle how Steve failed to turn up for his Street Cars shift. Meanwhile, at the bistro Steph’s short-staffed and Steve insists on helping out behind the bar. Carla is interviewing Alya. Alya describes her passion for upmarket underwear after she realises Underworld aims at a much lower market.
Steve apologises to Michelle, knowing that he is in the wrong explaining he simply fancied a change of scene. He then tells her it won’t happen again and when he offers to help at the hoedown Michelle comes around. Then Steve spots a sports car parked at the garage, he ignores Kevin’s words of caution and makes a decision to buy it. Gail and Michael, who is nervous, seek out Gavin’s house. Nobody is in but Gail tells Michael pushes a note through the door. Michael later gets a call from Gavin asking to meet him tomorrow.
Michelle tells Liz and Tony that she loves Steve but she has reached the end of her tether. Desperate to save their relationship, she books a weekend in the Lakes, telling Steve they’ll go in his new car. Liz warns Steve that if he doesn't change he’s going to lose Michelle and he’s only himself to blame. Meanwhile, Mary takes Dev into her camper van, explaining she’s suffered an allergic reaction to her false eyelash glue. She uses this as an excuse to pull out of the party. Encouraged by Steph, Julie agrees to accompany Dev to the party and hurries home to get changed.
Michelle gives Steve an ultimatum, either he tells her what is wrong with him or she’s leaving. Steve still doesn't tell her. Devastated, Michelle gets out of the car and returns to the pub she announces that she and Steve are finished. Lloyd and Andrea find Steve listening to music in his car. They tell him to apologise to Michelle and save his relationship, but Steve’s unresponsive.
Meanwhile, Michael apologises to Gavin for being an absent father. He then tells Michael he needs time to think things over, Gavin leaves. Gail does her best to comfort a deflated Michael as he waits to hear from Gavin.
Steve is lying in bed, utterly depressed. Liz is annoyed by Steve’s attitude, worried about the impact it’s having on Amy. Steve plucks up the courage and goes to see the doctor, thinking of Amy. It’s clear he’s suffering a panic attack but the doctor calms him down and diagnoses Steve with depression.
Michelle gets a call from school to say Steve hasn't picked up Amy, she sets off. Meanwhile Steve sis sitting parked up in his car and tries to summon the courage to text his Mum but can’t. Then the car won’t start, Steve is forced to phone Kevin to tow him home. Back on the street Liz and Michelle lay into Steve,
demanding to know where he’s been.
Liz is still frustrated with Steve and continues to hound him telling him it’s time he started pulling his weight and did some work.Lloyd tries to talk some sense into Steve, concerned that he’s throwing his life away. Steve is only interested in his sports car and when Tyrone breaks the news to him that it needs £2k’s worth of repairs, which is more than the car is worth, Tyrone is stunned when Steve tells him to go ahead with the work.
Elsewhere, Gavin fails to turn up for his appointment at the salon, then Michael gives him a call. When he first answers Gavin shouts at Michael to leave him alone but later calls in at No.8 apologising for snapping. He then suggests that they shouldn't see each other anymore, Michael is gutted and begs Gavin to reconsider.
Nick complains that he is short-staffed at the bistro, Michael offers Gavin to help, explaining he’s a professional cocktail waiter. Gavin is forced to say yes and although he’s clearly clueless about cocktails. When he meets Steph there is an instant attraction when she shows him the ropes. Michael calls at the bistro to lend Gavin his support but suffers a dizzy spell and collapses. Gavin helps Michael home, Gavin and Gail fuss round him.
