COSBY is another show that is created by Bill Cosby, and it is one of the best ones. It aired on CBS and was based on "One Foot In The Grave" and was about Hilton Lucas, who is retired, and lives with his family and the rest of the neighborhood. Many people dislike this show because they expected the characters to be exactly like The Huxtables, but that isn't the point of the show at all. It is more modern, and the characters are supposed to be different. In fact, the show seemed more active, and the entire neighborhood was involved. They said and did several things that were extremely funny, such as whenever someone hugged and the audience went "Awwwwwww..." and Lucas responded to them "Oh, Grow Up!", or when Madeline said when Lucas got the boat "My Goodness! I knew that they shouldn't have taken down that lighthouse on 36th street". or when she said, "They're showing Martha Stewart again. This is her Fourth Show Today. She's Going To Knit A Chair". The characters often directly spoke to the audience. For Example, Lucas sometimes said "What Are You Looking At?" and "This Falls Under The Category Of Very Bad News"... Ray Romano and Peter Boyle guest starred in the show as Ray and Frank Barone, and Ted Danson Starred As Dr. Becker. The show was produced by Bill Cosby and Carsey Warner. It ended shortly after the death of Madeline Kahn, around the same time as Kids Say The Darndest things, and when Bill Cosby was planning on retirement shortly after.
