1 :01x01 - Six Days

Date: July 17th

When a plane filled with passengers, one of whom is the Department's chief Sir Curtis, lands in London, the pilot believes they have landed 30 minutes early after a routine flight. Much to their surprise, they are told that they are, in fact, six days late. Now the Department's agents have to find out what happened during these days. They discover needle marks on the passengers and the name of an Eastern bloc pilot on the passenger list, but then that pilot is killed just when he is on the verge of giving them information...

2 :01x02 - The Trojan Tanker

Date: July 22nd

When a tanker is involved in a crash and its driver killed, the police discover that the tanker is not carrying gas but a living area. The other driver involved in the accident reports that he saw an injured woman in the back of the tanker -- a woman who somehow disappeared into thin air. A lighter with an insignia that Jason recognizes is the only clue left behind. It leads the team to a female pilot and to Southern France, where Stewart, posing as a crook, makes her acquaintance. Thus the Department gets wind of a major coup in the planning, which they have to hurry to prevent.

3 :01x03 - A Cellar Full of Silence

Four men dressed in costumes are shot to death in a cellar while celebrating a robbery, and the investigation shows that the gun of the one dressed as a cowboy had been fired. Sir Curtis suspects that a known criminal named Kyle is involved, but the police has nothing on the man, so he assigns the Department to the case. Stewart obtains some information from Kyle by means of a highly 'unorthodox' interrogation, and later, when an unidentified man's body is found in the trunk of a car fished out of a lake, the Department discover who the gun was used on -- but they still have to uncover why, or what the connection is to a World War II German field marshal's baton.

4 :01x04 - The Pied Piper of Hambledown

A young woman who is scheduled to participate in a beauty contest takes a sleeping pill and turns in early. The next morning, she wakes up in a ghost town -- everyone in her village has disappeared! The Department is called in on the case, and Annabelle's extensive research soon focuses on some missing paint, which leads the team to a post with a fresh coat of paint on it and a spot of burned grass next to it, suggesting the cover-up of some accident. The case takes on a new dimension when the young woman is tricked into seeing a false doctor and given a mysterious injection, and the Department decides to set a trap, with Stewart setting himself up as bait...

5 :01x05 - One of Our Aircraft Is Empty

A call from Skytripper 190 comes into the control tower, requesting auto land clearance. The control tower cannot understand why - and once the plane lands, airport officials discover that it is totally empty. The Department is assigned to find out what happened to the passengers and crew. Annabelle discovers a photograph of a reclusive industry CEO boarding the transcontinental flight in New York, but his name is not on the passenger list. When Stewart finds the body of the flight's pilot in a warehouse, the case becomes a murder investigation, which leads the agents to Ireland - and into danger.

6 :01x06 - The Man in the Elegant Room

A real estate agent takes a prospective buyer to a warehouse. When they enter, they find a lavishly constructed replica of a living room with bars across the door, and inside a woman's corpse and a crazed man. The man is taken to a mental hospital, where Stewart and Annabelle try to interview him but get nothing out of him except a lot of gibberish - and the name of a woman. That name proves the only lead when the man is murdered soon after the agents left. Jason thinks that finding the original of the room is the key to the case, but even when they find the original room, as well the woman mentioned, the mystery is far from solved.

7 :01x07 - Handicap Dead

Stewart is a spectator at a golf tournament. The golfer leading the tournament fails to show up for his tee time and is later found dead. While it initially appears to be an accident, Stewart suspects foul play and starts investigating on his own. He finds a casino chip among the man's belongings which Annabelle traces to a certain gambling hall, and the theft of the man's golf clubs leads the Department on a trail of smuggling and murder.

8 :01x08 - Black Out

A chef goes to see an opera and disappears without a trace. When he finally reappears in Mexico three days later, he is still in his formal wear and has no idea what happened to him. The Department discovers that he was mistaken for another man - the intended target was an important scientist, but by the time the agents realize this, the scientist has already been abducted. The only thing the chef can remember is 'turtle in the shell', a clue that sends the Department to Jamaica, where they have to rescue the scientist before his expertise can be misused for sinister purposes by his kidnappers.

9 :01x09 - The Double Death of Charlie Crippen

A limousine is attacked by a group of men using a land mine and machine guns. The car is riddled with bullets, but the only 'victim' inside turns out to be a wax dummy. The mannequin, nicknamed "Charlie Crippen" by Jason, obviously was mistaken for a real person. The Department's task is to find out who the real intended victim is, and who is behind the assassination plot.

10 :01x10 - The Treasure of the Costa del Sol

Two men kill each other after retrieving a plastic fish hidden in the ocean off the coast. The fish turns out to be loaded with $100,000 in American money. The local authorities are at a loss what to make of it and call in the Department, whose investigation links this incident with counterfeit dollar bills appearing all over Europe. Posing as a married couple, Stewart and Annabelle make contact with a Spanish engraver, a visit that leads the Department to an international counterfeiting ring.

11 :01x11 - Who Plays the Dummy?

A policeman attempts to pull over a speeding car, and when it crashes, he discovers the man behind the wheel is actually a dummy. Stewart and Jason, already in Spain, are called in on the case. They soon discover the car was remote controlled, and investigate a company in England that specializes in this field. However, back in Spain, they also realize that both NATO officials and the local authorities are hindering their investigation - the question is why...

12 :01x12 - The Man Who Got a New Face

An intruder manages to circumvent all security measures and break into a heavily guarded estate - just to glue a theatrical mask onto a sleeping man's face. When the man wakes up the next morning and notices the mask, he suffers a fatal heart attack. Sir Curtis, who was a friend of the deceased's, asks Stewart to look into the matter and find who was responsible for the fatal 'prank'. It soon turns out to have been far more than that, and the Department finds itself on the trail of a ruthless blackmailer and killer...

13 :01x13 - Les Fleurs du Mal

A gangster orders his accomplice to deliver a package to a certain contact in Paris. Soon after, the gangster is killed in an exchange of gunfire, and the courier opens the package to discover three flowers and a message written on a piece of paper. A number of people, including the Department, want to know what the three flowers and cryptic message have to do with an unsolved bank robbery. In Paris, Stewart poses as the courier to find out who the contact is - a risky scheme that will only work if Jason and Annabelle can intercept the real courier with the package in time...

14 :01x14 - The Shift That Never Was

A chemical company's manager reports that all his workers called in sick the previous day, yet all the people in the neighborhood claim that the factory appeared to have a perfectly normal day of operation. So who was working there instead of the usual workforce? The Department discovers that one worker did show up for work - and was murdered, and the company's secretary has disappeared. The search for her leads the agents to a connection with a new nuclear power station which is scheduled to open soon.

15 :01x15 - Dead Men Die Twice

A photographer takes a picture of a man in a festival crowd, then shows it to another man. Whereupon killers break into the house of the man in the photograph - but he dies of a heart attack before they can murder him. Not to leave their work unfinished, they later shoot the body - while it is already in the morgue! Sir Curtis sends for the Department, because the dead man looks just like a notorious criminal named Christopher Lomax, thought to have been dead for three years; however, the fingerprints don't match. But since someone clearly believed that this man was Lomax, could it be that Lomax is indeed still alive? In order to find out, Annabelle poses as a journalist.

A man wakes up, disoriented - in the middle of a runway! Where he is then killed by an approaching airplane. The Department is alarmed when they discover the man had developed a brainwashing technique - it looks as if the device has fallen into the wrong hands. When one morning in the office, neither Stewart nor Jason can remember anything about their investigation, Annabelle realizes that both her colleagues have themselves become victims of the brainwashing machine...

17 :01x17 - The Last Train to Redbridge

An entire London tube car full of people on their way home is killed with nerve gas. The Department is called in, and while Annabelle is at the morgue with the widow of one of the victims, the woman is kidnapped at gunpoint. Then Jason is also abducted and held captive in the same place as her. Stewart and Annabelle have to act quickly to solve the mystery of who is responsible and what is the motive behind it all -- with little more than a "Stop Hitler Now!" poster as a clue.

The wife of a university professor named Burnham is gunned down in front of him in a seemingly random act of violence. He is distraught, but becomes more disturbed as he begins to see his dead wife and receive phone calls from her. Sir Curtis assigns the Department to protect him and to find out what is going on, but without telling them why Burnham is "an important man to the world." Thus working in the dark, the agents soon realize someone is trying to push Burnham over the edge -- but who, and to what end?

19 :01x19 - The Man from X

A couple in a car discover a man in a spacesuit staggering toward them, but he suffocates before reaching them. Sir Curtis assigns the Department to investigate. Stewart traces the spacesuit to a research facility and discovers there is not just one but indeed four suits missing, but on his way back, an attempt is made on his life, landing him in hospital before he can share his discovery. After finding the dead man's sister, Jason has to pose as an American safe-cracker to make contact with the people the deceased was involved with. Annabelle is supposed to trail him and the gangsters, which puts both her and Jason in danger...

20 :01x20 - Death on Reflection

A mirror sparks a bidding war at an auction in London. Sir Curtis, who is also in attendance, wonders why a seemingly insignificant mirror would sell for £9,000 -- and when the buyer is found murdered in his apartment shortly after the purchase, Sir Curtis decides this is a case for the Department. In Paris, Jason meets an attractive antique shop owner, whose boyfriend arouses the agents' suspicions. Stewart and Annabelle break into his apartment and discover there is much more to these mirrors than meets the eye...

21 :01x21 - The Perfect Operation

The lead brain surgeon operating on a British government official is knocked unconscious and replaced with another man. However, the surgery is not botched -- on the contrary, the replacement surgeon performed it flawlessly. The Department is called in to investigate. Since the replacement surgeon's style is reminiscent of a famous Russian surgeon's technique, Stewart flies to Moscow to meet the man in question. Meanwhile Jason investigates a connection to Istanbul, where he is knocked out -- and taken to a hospital, where he makes an interesting discovery.

22 :01x22 - The Duplicated Man

A plane carrying a British diplomat named Anthony Harvey explodes over the English Channel. Although a large number of people on a ferry boat witnessed the explosion, Sir Curtis thinks that Harvey is actually still very much alive. The Department investigates, and soon they begin to suspect Harvey may have been a double agent -- meaning they have to track him down before the Russians do.

23 :01x23 - Mysterious Man in the Flying Machine

A pilot's voice announces to a group of passengers that their flight bound for Athens is underway. Soon after, a man retrieves a gun and shoots another passenger, then opens the plane door and jumps out -- to the floor of a warehouse. Although the other 'passengers' pursue him, he escapes. Alarmed by the shots, the local police find the abandoned 'plane' and the body. The Department is called in to figure out who the murdered man was, and why anyone would go to the trouble of constructing a set to make people think they were on a passenger plane. The first clue is a message scrawled in lipstick on the windshield of Stewart's car, but when Stewart and Jason get to the girl who wrote it, they find her murdered too...

24 :01x24 - Spencer Bodily Is Sixty Years Old

A distraught young man first destroys his passport, then commits suicide in a London park. What would have been considered a routine case becomes Department material when the coroner rules that, beyond any doubt, the youthful-looking man was in fact 60 years old at the time of his death. Soon after, the dead man's body is stolen from the morgue. In his hotel room, Stewart and Annabelle find a pair of dice with a mysterious symbol on them, providing them with the first clue.

25 :01x25 - A Fish out of Water

An Interpol agent dies while on vacation in Beirut. Stewart, a close friend of the dead agent, does not believe that he died in a scuba diving accident, since he was an expert diver, and thus demands that the Department investigate. Sir Curtis first declines, then relents and allows Jason to fly to Lebanon to investigate. However, he orders Stewart to stay away from the case, considering him far too emotionally involved to investigate objectively. Yet when Jason's life is in danger in Beirut, Sir Curtis has no choice but to let Stewart and Annabelle go there as well.

Greg Halliday, a renown chemist, has disappeared. The Department is ordered to find him as quickly as possible, since a canister of nerve gas that he helped create has disappeared with him. Not surprisingly, they are not the only ones trying to locate him - other parties with sinister plans for that nerve gas are highly interested in finding him as well. Meanwhile, Halliday has plans of his own -- frustrated with humanity, he threatens to unleash the nerve gas on London...

Upon arrival at a Ministry of Defense compound, a driver discovers that the government official he was transporting has turned into a skeleton! As the Department investigates, more high-ranking officials are replaced by skeletons -- including the Department's own official, Sir Curtis Seretse. Hoping he is still alive, Stewart has to pressure a NATO officer into disclosing top secret information in order to find the motive and thus the perpetrators.

28 :01x28 - The Soup of the Day

An elaborate break-in at a customs warehouse on a loading dock results in the theft of just one case of fish soup from Portugal. The authorities are puzzled, so the Department is called in. Stewart and Annabelle investigate and soon discover the case of soup, discarded. So why was it stolen in the first place? Apparently it was a mistake and someone stole the 'wrong' case of soup. Jason heads to Lisbon to check the factory where the soup originated from. Soon the agents find themselves on the trail of smugglers.
