Ed Stevens is a successful lawyer at a high-profile firm in New York City. He comes home one day and finds his wife sleeping with the mailman. Soon after this, he makes a single error in punctuation in one of his law contracts which results in a huge financial loss. He is fired.

Ed heads back to his hometown, Stuckeyville. He realizes that he missed his old friends and they missed him. He sees his high-school crush, the beautiful Carol Vessey. His emotions come roaring back and he decides to move back to Stuckeyville and win Carol's heart. He buys the local bowling alley, Stuckeybowl.

The show is a hilarious and fun story of Ed's quest to win the girl of his dreams.

The final episode of the sitcom sees Carol and Ed preparing to have a circus-themed wedding. Warren plans an ambitious video of the big day and Phil is determined to perform the ceremony himself.
