I was checking out Politics1 (http://www.politics1.com/p2008.htm) earlier this evening, and noted the following as potential candidates for 2008's Presidential election.....

Bill Frist
Newt Gingrich
Mike Huckabee
John McCain
Rudy Guiliani
Condi Rice
Hillary Rodham Clinton
John Edwards
John Kerry
Susan Sarandon
Michael Badnarik
Jesse Ventura

...among others, of course.

Even with 2008 a couple of years away yet, who's your early favorite?

If Jesse Ventura actually runs, and wins his party's nomination, I'd have to vote for him just on principal.....well, not really. But I do agree with a lot of his views concerning things like education, gun control, religion, etc.

But hey, that's just me.

I like Huckabee - he advocates for arts in education. My kind of guy. I could live with Hillary Clinton or John McCain. Actually, any of the Johns on that list would be all right.

Susan Sarandon is a joke, right?

Absolutely NOT NEWT. *shudders*

And not Condolezza Rice.

Jesse Ventura, I would have to ask someone from Minnesota what they thought.

The rest, I don't know.

If Al gore wore to run again, he'd win for sure. but sadly he wont.

It seemed though, recently he was bashing Bush's politics, which is a common strategy as to give hints he wants to do something about it ergo (vica vy lol) run for press.

He came here and didn't change a thing while Governor. It was nice because that's how it should be, but for a President and at this moment in time . . there needs to be changes.

well, that list isn't really exact, or close to it. For the democrats, it looks like Joe Biden, John Kerry, John Edwards, Clinton, and Howard Dean. None of these have confirmed it yet (actually, Biden said he would if he raises the money) though, but the real question are the republicans, besides John McCain... who knows?

I tend to be a strong democrat in most of my beliefs, but if Hillary runs.... especially if Condi gets the nom. (which I can't see at all)... then it will be the fall of the nation. Though, I do think that both Joe Biden and especially John McCain (the only rep. that I especially like and would support to be pres.) would be good choices. Other rumors have Lieberman running (50% chance), Gore running (2% chance), Barak Obama (you never know for 2012?), and the major darkhorse.... what about Rep. Florida Governor who's term expires next year: Jeb Bush???

If a democrat was going to win, I could stand Joe Lieberman or Mark Warner.

I'd prefer if Condoleezza Rice was running though. Because Republicans are (L).

Oh, God, I needed that. Thanks for tickling my funny bone.

McCain, Newt, Guiliani, or Condi would be fine with me on the Republican side. I would support Lieberman but it is doubtful his party would nominate someone like him.

This'll be my first election so I can hardly wait.

Well then you have no right to belly ache when the other guy wins. You had your chance to vote against him. Deal?
