Hey i just watched charly in the chol fac last night...Damn i was so freaking disapointed in that movie....Wit hall of the great things ive head about it..I thought it was going to be great...Even tho i know with remakes you going to have to forget what happen with the first ori movie..

But still they skipped one of the most importent sceene in the whole movie/book.
Spoiler!!!!!

They skipped the whole goobstoper sceen.Where wanka gave all of them one...Then the whole soda sceen where charly and gramp drank some of the untested soda thing wanka had.Which made them fly......

The sceen after that was the most importent sceen because it was the sceen that showed that charly was worthy of wanka trust.Which ended up him gaining the company.

Also they made the grandfather selfish as hell. How he jumped out of the bed and Said he wanted to go..Unlike the first one where charly had to convence him to go...

The whole wanka past flash back thing was really pointless.

I did like how they gave the uumpa's a background story..Even tho it seemed to be a filler ......

Also Johnny didnt really made a good wanka....If anyone could of pulled it off it would be jim carry....He is able to play the creepy funny roles allot better.

Well they have to change some things. Otherwise it would be a pointless movie.

Yeah but to skip the main back bone of a movie sceen like they did just killed it.Its like having the new batman begans and not killing bruce's parents.

Just to have wanka oh yeah you thelast kid here so you get the whole place...Here..is just dumb.

The soda flying sceen is one of the most famose sceen in the whole movie...It was so fAmus that they spoofed it on family guy.

They skipped the part with the soda because it wasn't in the book. Rather than be a remake of the old film, Tim Burton wanted this film to be more based on the original novel. The same goes for the Gobstopper scene. Its purpose in the old film was merely for Slugworth, a plot point that was absent in the book.

Yeah i guess that make sences...But i would of still liked to see how they would of done it...Like i said to me and my friend that one sceen was the point of the movie. The trust he formed with wanka....In this verson there wasnt any real trust....He was ready to give it away like a cheerleader who had to much to drink.

the remake DID go more by the book than the original. (the original was a musical(and made a long time ago (forgot what year...), so many things had to be changed.), but they still left out and changed alot of things.

I still think the Original beats the newer one by far. event though this one supposedly is more truer to the book. I consider it a horrible movie. worst Tim Burton film ever.
