Seriously though, I only watched a Saw movie for the first time tonight (second one I think). It was hillarious and all but the lack of anything of interest hampered it slightly...

I want those 2 hours of my life back

My favorite movie of all time!
I'm doubting the remake will be even close to matchign the original, but Im stoked for it anyways.

Well after missing it in the theaters I finally saw the remake.

Not bad! The more I think about it, the more I liked it. As a remake, it does a good job of paying tribute but also not feeling like a total rehash of the original. As a film by itself, it's even better. The pace is very good, never feels like it drags on, and everything from acting to music to special effects were great. I can't believe it but they actually made a good remake of one of the biggest cult classics of all time.

Before I had never thought of this but I hope they keep going! At least Evil Dead 2. I do not think Army of Darkness would be wise to attempt a remake.

I completely agree with you, Ryan. I feel it did a good job overall of being a remake of a classic and was a decent movie on its own.
