As some of y'all know, Siler from Heroes is gonna play Spock, which I think he'll be awesome.
I just heard that Simon Pegg will play Scotty... now that is fockin' awesome!
I loved Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz... |

After seeing Cloverfield, I can't wait to see what JJ Abram does with Star Trek. |

Life is a tragedy for those who feel and a comedy for those who think. |

I hope as you do, but I think we should not fear as I just suspect that it'll easily be in the top 5 of two hour Star Trek events/movies.
Also, it's clear that JJ has the balls to make a movie in the right way, even if people don't like it... like he did with Cloverfield. |

Well if it's a flop hopefully this will send a message to Hollywood that some classics just shouldn't be messed with anymore. Half the cast looks great, the other half looks questionable....and what's up with two Spocks being in the cast list?" Or will Leonard Nimoy play part of Spock's family or something? I haven't seen Cloverfield but JJ has his work cut out for him fans will be out for blood if they're not happy. |

Yeah so do I. I'm not a big Star Trek fan, but I know there's a lot of remakes that end up being disasters. Let's hope they don't do the same here. |

That article claims that Winona Ryder will be playing "Mr. Spock's Vulcan mother (a twist on the original)" but IMDb says that her character name is Amanda Grayson. That sure sounds like a human first and last name combination. Maybe if her name was T'Manda it might fit... |

I must say I'm really disappointed that the release date was pushed back to May 8, 2009 but, on the bright side, it will probably be more successful than it would be if were released on Christmas Day. Obviously the more successful it is, the more likely it is there will be more movies and - fingers crossed! - a sixth live action TV show. In all honesty though, I'm not holding my breath for the latter to happen any time soon. If there was another Star Trek show in five years, I'd be very surprised, pleasantly I hasten to add! |

What interested me most about this reboot is that it appeals to non-Trek audience too. Can't wait. |

I noticed something in their trailers...all the crew look like teens next to all the rest of the older cast, lol. |

I've now watched the premiere in the UK, and it was hands down the best Star Trek film since First Contact. It expanded on the modern mythology while giving us familiar tales only hinted at in earlier movies and the series, along with some new ideas
It's not your Great Aunt's Star Trek...but it's not meant to be
Great movie, solid plot, and more importantly, actors that made me beleive they were the legends.
Star Trek is back
