A lot of people seem to want to knock Sony, either as a company or as a console, and thus forget that, hardware and customer service aside (neither
of which I ever had a problem with), it still has the best games. Which is why any gamer should want a system in the first place. If you like Nintendo's 1st party stuff, get a Wii. If you like Microsoft's products get 360. If you like PS2's gaming library, and lots of import support, and a huge library of games, get PS3. It's really not that hard. And whichever you get, you should be happy and leave the consumers of the other two alone.
I have never heard a single, valid reason for why people hate the Playstation brand so much. As for the cost, if you don't want to pay that much, then quite honestly, just don't buy it. At most, it's $200 more than 360's premium, for more than $200 worth of better features. PS3's basic
model is about equivalent, feature-wise, with 360's premium, and only $100 more. And it has been repeatedly stated that online gaming will be free. If you think of it as more than a gaming machine, it's a worthwhile investment. If not, then you might just want to wait a little. Either way, there's little reason to wish death and unprofitablity on any console, just because it's not you "fave."
