I don't see how any gamer could be satisfied with a new Nintendo produced and developed title every 6 months, as those are the only decent ones. I mean, has there even been 3 non-Nintendo developed titles exclusive to the Wii that have been successful?

I sadly haven't been paying that close attention to Nintendo's offerings this gen. Are all of you wii owners satisfied with the current/future releases.

No More Heroes, Elebits, Red Steel, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Resident Evil Chronicles, Zack & Wiki, Geometry Wars Galaxies, and We Ski to name a few.

I was really intrigued by No More Heroes when it was in development, but heard the final product wasn't too great. Is it actually pretty good?

Well, I guess I left the definition of "successful" open to interpretation.

-- No More Heroes has an average score of 83.3%. Not exactly game of the year contender.
-- Elebits is sitting at 75.3%, not bad but not exactly good.
-- Red Steel has an average of 65.9% by reviewers, just an awful score.
-- Sonic and the Secret Rings has a 69.8% average score.
-- Medal of Honor Heroes 2 has a 75.5% average, getting a little better but still nothing stellar.
-- Resident Evil Chronicles has a 75.7%, which by Resident Evil standards is very poor, especially when compared to Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition's score 91.1%, although that isn't exclusive.
-- Zack & Wiki has a 86.1% score. Getting better but again not a must-own title.
-- Geometry Wars Galaxies has a 80.9% score, which is much lower than the 87.6% score for Geometry Wars (Xbox 360) and 90.0% for Geometry Wars 2 (Xbox 360).
-- We Ski is sitting at 69.4%, so again nothing special there.

The games you listed don't really compare to some Nintendo developed titles, like Zelda: The Twilight Princess (94.3%), Super Mario Galaxies (97.4%), or Super Smash Bros. Brawl (92.9%).

I'm going to stick with the "there's nothing non-Nintendo on the Wii worth picking up" statement.

You have a better method to determine a games success?

This. Red Steel was a crapty game, but it sold a ton of copies.

And for the record, I don't think of myself as a Wii fanboy. I think it's a good system, and I try to stick up for it when I can, but the games Nintendo develops are obviously the best ones by far.

I own a Wii and a 360. I've never really thought about getting a PS3.

I really hope you're not calling me a fanboy. And if you are, you're sorely mistaken. Go to GameSpot or IGN and post a message like "Sony sucks" on a PS3 forum and you'll see what a fanboy really looks like. I'm a realist. I stick with what I see as the best, which is why I own a Xbox 360. Best online and best selection of games. I don't see the point in owning every console when a good deal of titles are released on all three platforms anyway.

My track record of consoles owned looks like this:

NES > SNES > PSone > Xbox > Xbox360

At one point or another I've owned a console by Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. The only reason I changed "devotion" to another was because I thought their console was better. As you can see, Nintendo hasn't really be involved for some time. Their lack of online support, which has been addressed slightly, and good third-party titles is really a killer for me and what I look for in a console. Not to rip on anyone that owns a Wii but most of the really hardcore gamer community owns a PS3 or Xbox 360, as the Wii comes off as console for the younger audience. The games pretty much give that away. You don't really see a lot huge gamer tournaments with Wii games. But I also understand that not everyone games the same way as me. That's fine. If someone wants to play games offline, alone, so be it. Or if someone really want to play as Pikachu, so be it. Or if someone doesn't look shooting heads off and would rather collect flowers and shoot a water hose, so be it.

So anyway, please don't say I'm a fanboy. Just because I don't turn a blind eye to people and instead ask them probing questions doesn't make me a fanboy. If anything, I'm trying to help. But if owning just one console and saying that it's the best console makes me a fanboy, then I guess I'm guilty.

I don't personally think I'm too involved in video games to be considered a fan boy. At least not anymore. Once upon a time I was rooting for Sony. I didn't intend as to come out as "fan boy", I just really thought Sony was better at video games compared to Microsoft so I was hoping they'd take advantage of their lead. I was mistaken. For whatever reason, they f***ed up. MAYBE they can make a comeback, I don't really care anymore.

Microsoft's just not my cup of tea. I was never too involved in video games to get into the whole online thing, other than a few times at a friend's place. I must say though, the whole Live thing, is f***ing insane. I'm just not a fan of their exclusive games.

Nintendo had me hooked for a year or so. Their games are simply fun for me. You don't need to blow heads off to have fun in a game. And I think anyone who really plays Mario Galaxy, or Super Smash Bros Brawl and see that. But now, I'm just kind of bored with it. Maybe that will change later on. And maybe I'm wrong, but isn't the fact that your best exclusive games on your console, come from the people who actually make your console? That's actually why I kinda like N64 better than PS1. Sony had a lot of third party people helping them, Nintendo didn't. And still made hella good games. Just an opinion, that's just how I view it.

The 360 system and infrastructure are perfectly fine, now that the RROD issue seems to have been taken care of, and they have a community and focus that will be hard to ever best. On a strictly gaming front, it's a perfectly reasonable system choice, so long as you prefer the exclusive titles heading toward it over the exclusive and first party IPs rolling out of Sony.

I personally am a "fanboy" of Sony's dev studios, and so had an easy pick this generation, as I did the last. The blu-ray, free play, upgrades, and customization are just a bonus.

i decided not to decide and bought all three... and have had a ball with each for different reasons. they all add something different and enjoyable whether it be games, game play, or peripherals.

i don't regret a singe purchase.
