Why is the Wii in last place for you? I'm buying one simply because it's so goddamn cheap, and Nintendo has some of the best franchises.

While the PS3 is a freakin' investment.

Because like I said, Microsoft has a bigger fan base than Nintendo now. Hell, like I said in that post, I love Nintendo, but it's just the way it is. Besides, I'm not just gonna buy a console just for the price. It's quality I look for, not quantity.

And I put PS3 first for the reasons I put before.

I'm betting that the Wii will restore Nintendo. Maybe not to what it was 10 years ago, but to something better than what the GameCube left it at.

Probably, but I doubt it will beat the 360 and the PS3.

Maybe. Think of parents going to a store and seeing a $400 360, a $600 PS3, and a $200/$300 Wii.

True. I guess it just all depends on what's going on at the time. Some parents might judge on price, others might just get what the kids want. And then there's independent grown up customers anticipating PS3. You just never know. I guess only time will tell.

Don't forget independent grown up 360 customers, not to mention all the impatient gamers who are buying a 360. That's why the PS3 is stuck in the middle to me, and it will do the worst of the 3.

Yeah, but they're not as many Xbox fans as there are PlayStation fans. Although there are some impatient ones, they're also patient ones, and many more fans waiting for PS3. And I bet when PS3 comes in November, I bet those impatient ones will eventually either switch back, or keep both. Especially since Sony holds a lot of exclusives to many anticipated sequels, and new games. I mean look:
Metal Gear Solid 4
Tekken 6
Heavenly Sword
Coded Arms Assault
Gran Turismo HD
Devil May Cry 4
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Eight Days
The Getaway 3
Killzone PS3
Virtua Fighter 5
Unreal Tournament 2007
Grand Theft Auto IV
Half-Life 2
John Woo Presents Stranglehold
Heavy Rain
Armored Core 4
Resident Evil 5
Assassin's Creed
Mercenaries 2:
World in Flames
a majority of these games are only on PS3, and their previous counter parts were huge on the sales charts, and they're much anticipated. Xbox doesn't really have many games that were great on the sales chart compared to PS3.

Why is Half-Life 2 on there? That's been out for nearly 2 years on the PC, and 1 year on the Xbox. Plus, the 360 is getting the expansion to HL2 later this year.

The 360 will get first party PS3 games so Sony better watch out...

Half Life 2 is apparently coming to PS3 later on in late 2006, or early 2007. Here's the article.

Naw, GTA's the only big one they're getting. And PS3 is getting a version of it as well...

Well, I meant why did you list it? I mean, it's not really that impressive of a title, given how long it's been out.

Aside from Armored Core, there isn't much there I care for.

I can't stand FF games, or GT. And MGS is nothing like it used to be.

Sony's failure to appear to the average consumer with it's high price, will turn leading competitive off... Causing a lot of PS3's first party games to switch sides.... Or maybe become launch titles for both systems...
