You say that you think PS3 is going to do better huh?!! Well who here is actually going to dish out the dough to pick one of these powerhouses up? I want to know where you plan on getting this money and which model you plan on buying.

I'm buying one, but I still think the Xbox 360 will do better than the PS3. I'm buying the pimp out model, $600. I'll get Resistance: Fall of Man and/or Full Auto 2 at Launch. I'm also getting the wii, yes I am a rich bastard.

I'll buy a PS3 someday, just not at launch. Unless I manage to get the money from somewhere magically, but I won't really be trying. I'll get the more expensive model because the other one is pretty much worthless. Until then, money is being saved for the Wii. But PS3 will be mine someday.

I want a PS3. But can't see myself buying one because it is too expensive, and no matter ho much I wan one, I am not paying that much for one. Stupid Sony.

I will. Prolly not on launch day but eventually because I really like the lineup of games they have. Where I'm getting the money? I have a job so that's about 2-3 months pay. 4 if I'm unlucky. But I already have 400 bucks saved up and i prolly will get the decked out model.

I plan on getting one at launch, or as soon as I can get my hands on one. Sadly, I'm heading to an anime convention that day, so they'll probably had disappeared by the time I return. I'm getting one with the money I earn from working.

"Do better" is a hard means of quantifying or qualifying a system. I don't expect a $500 - $600 anything to sell more than a $200 wii. Do I think PS3 is the absolute best gaming system? Not really; all the systems have their perks. Do I think PS3 is the absolute best media console? Yes, which is what I'm getting it for. Everyone who's upset about the price has the wonderful option to either NOT get the system, or just wait until the price drops, which is why I'm still stunned at all of the anger out there about its cost.

But even all of that would not matter if it weren't for the system's biggest selling point, in my eyes. They have the best games.

Okay, I have a little money I admit it... But as a good consumer, I can say now I'm not buying a PS3...Since they sold out the teen consumer, by pricing this for the more larger middle class adults with jobs...They just forgot about the teen gamers... Blah....

If you think it's too expensive or not worth the price, I can understand not buying th system. But why in the world do you actually hate it?

XBox over the years will be pretty pricey too. When you think about the 50 beans a year you gotta spend to play online. I think it is completely worth it. Sony is keeping the online system they had woth PS2. It's free, but when stacked up to all you can do with Live... I'd rather spend money! Keeping the same online system makes the online service for XBox better than PS3! Of corse 360's live blows XBox's out of the water. Not only is there more, but you can play original XBox games online as well!!! Live has got tons of game demos at your disposal. Movie trailers, game trailers/info, music info/downloads, customizable themes, ratings system, friends, chatting, LIVE arcade games, the list can go on forever. I am a HUGE fan of UNO online. Yes, UNO! I really see nothing that would make the PS3 actually worth saving hard earned cash for. 360 is just so much more...sensible. Hell, the Wii has a better hook for online than Sony! Download all the classics to play whenever you want!! Thats f***ing sweet!!! It better be free tho, considering I can GET it free with a computer and an emulator! Lol! Although I delete the games after 24 hrs if I dont own them.........riiiiiight....

What about people that predominantly play single player games? Story-driven, one-character, non-online products. I don't doubt the inherent faluve of LIVE; I just feel it's faulty to assume that everyone needs it, or will use it to its fullest. LIVE is probably the biggest selling point of the 360. As such, games a tailored around LIVE. As such, most of the games I'm looking forward to you don't even see on Xbox or 360. Gotta go to where the games are.

Man, I've had a 360 for several months now and still haven't even touched multiplayer on LIVE. I have more interest in getting a PS3 than I have in playing multiplayer online. The headset hasn't even come out of it's wrapper. I just wanna play the games, and they're fun enough on their own. But goddamn do I hate multiplayer-only Achievements in games. I don't even bother with those.

Haven't played a lot yet since a lot of good games were coming out on other systems, but so far it's looking like this:

Retail games I'm playing/have played

Call of Duty 2
Amped 3
Perfect Dark Zero

Retail games I will be playing when I finish other games

Condemned
Far Cry: Instincts Predator
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Dead Rising
Enchanted Arms
Saint's Row
The Ouftit

Arcade games I've played/owned

Hexic HD
Frogger
Astropop
Geometry Wars Evolved
Crystal Quest
Street Fighter II Hyper Fighter
Marble Blast Ultra
Outpost Kaloki X

The arcade games are great, they fill up a lot of time. COD2 is a great WWII shooter, even if it's multiplatform. It just plays very, very smoothly on the 360 and I just love the accuracy of the guns in the series. Amped 3 is a cool game, it's snowboarding and it's fun but the best part about it is the cutscenes and the humor. VERY artistic and creative (and hilariously weird).

PDZ is a cool game, the kind of FPS I like to play with controls that I love (not a fan of Halo's control/aim system). The levels have been neat so far. I've wanted to play an FPS with REAL missions for a long time now (as opposed to having a "mission/goal" with a lot of neat description when it's really just "kill stuff while moving from point a to point b"). The AI can be annoying at times, especially Jack Dark... I found it hilarious how at the end of the first mission, he literally ran around like a dumbass in the middle of a fire fight taking like 100 bullets. But it really sucks in another mission where you're separated from him and have to protect him from the rooftops. No matter how well you protect him, he's likely to stand out in the open like a craphead getting himself killed while you move from waypoint to waypoint. Anyway, I'm having fun with the game so far, even if nearly all of the achievements require multiplayer/co-op.

Ryan mentioned a little while ago that Konami's putting out a game on Marketplace. I swear, if you all get Gradius III, Jackal, or Blades of Steel, I will be officially "jealous."
