The Beatles. I also really liked the Monkees, but I still, to this very day, despise the Beach Boys.

I went with The Beach Boys.

Sorry to all the Beatles lovers out there.. I just don't think they're that great. Call them influential, I don't care. If they influenced the new 'awesome' music I hear now.. then that only strengthens my stance. I do own Beatles albums, I just get sick of their stuff really fast. I could listen to Pet Sounds from The Beach Boys forever..

I would also choose The Rolling Stones over The Beatles. As for The Monkess.. well.. I liked their TV show.

Where I come from, only old people remember The Beach Boys and The Monkees. But everyone knows The Beatles.

People in their teens are well aware of all three...they may not like them, but they know who they are.

If you need to be old to remember great music then I'm proud to have lived in their generation.
