He said he was an atheist, I wonder if he still believed there was no God in that final moment. Nevertheless great guy, great comedian: "I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older; then it dawned on me... they're cramming for their final exam." I had the pleasure of hearing his interview with Bob Costas last year still the same lovable George till the end.

He's had health problems before so this is not too much of a surprise. A lot of great moments thankfully on film and in print. RIP.

Damn! I had just read where he was making commentary for a new dvd set due out. They commented on how he was still going strong and was arranging a new special.

RIP George, well done.

and he was so active up until the end.

Not only did I love his comedy, but he narrated quite a few of Chris' favorite DVD's of Thomas and Friends.

A couple of more deaths:

Dody Goodman. She was 93 and likely died of old age. She dies Sunday. She was in many shows as a bit player, including playing Mr. Drummond's cooky sister in Diff'rent Strokes. But many will remember her best from her role in Grease.

She is the first lady you see in this film clip of Grease:

Also, a famous special effects creator died June 15th, Stan Winston who passed away at 62 from multiple myeloma. He brought us the dinosaurs in Jurrasic Park, the extraterrestrials from "Aliens," the robots from "Terminator" and even "Edward Scissorhands" to the big screen. He was a pioneer in merging real-world effects with computer-generated imagery.

here's his Clicky

Chris can see into the future! Either that, or you're plotting something ... something evil.

oh god that cracked me up lol...thanks for the good laugh

I just heard about George Carlin's death today. I'm still virtually stunned. He was hella funny and real too. Man i'll miss him, there will never be another comedian as funny, outspoken and real like him

My favorite Carlin routine was his bit about farting on elevators.
