We're currently looking for volunteers to start filling up empty guides with episode summaries that we seem to have found a increase in appearing across the site. If it's something you feel you'd be interested in doing please let me, Ben or Gadfly know and once we will be in touch with you.

Just want to add as a side-note copying and pasting official summaries in the correct way - i.e citing the sources will be acceptable in this role.

I have a question concerning episode summaries are you talking about upcoming episodes or ones that have previously aired or both?

Thanks for your response, Ron.

The main reason I asked that question is that I was told about 2 or 3 years ago by a Staff member who's name I cannot remember (but it might have been Gadfly) that once an episode airs you cannot add a Summary in. In other words I was told that summaries were only used for upcoming episodes and something different needed to be added after any episode had aired. I think he called it a recap of what happened during the episode.

The problem with that response of I'm sure you are aware is that not many places on the Internet provide this type of information & if you didn't watch the episode yourself then it is almost impossible to do a recap?

Either that Staff member gave me BAD information or there has been a change in the policy at sometime?

Based on your response I would gladly add missing summary information on past episodes as I found them. Some great sites that keep there episode summary information for months if not years are:
Cooking Channel
D.I.Y.
FOOD Network
TLC

and a few others I can't think of right now.

Since I visit each one of these sites almost weekly to get future Episode titles & summaries I could easily look back at old episodes at that time to get their summaries to add into the show in question at the same time? Just let me know if this is okay with you and I will gladly help out on this project Tom?

Thank you very much for your response in advance, Ron.

I doubt it been Gadfly as the information provided to you their is definelty incorrect summaries can be added at any point to any episode and if you want to help out with the project either by adding information to old or new episodes, thank you and go ahead

Thank you very much sir and 1 last question if you do not mind?

Is there a way or an option that can be selected to open up the summary potion (the BOX) so we can add a lot of summaries in all at the same time.

Like we can select Episodes we want to change/correct and do an entire season if we need to? This option would be so awesome and save tons of time rather than having to add in summaries 1 episode at a time.

Not at present. However if you're going from one episode to the next, ticking the 'go to next episode' box makes it a bit quicker.

The question is not whether it is technically possible to add summaries after the show airs, but what content should be entered.

From the Section Definitions guide: "After an episode airs, please only submit original material."

Although yes the more original content we have the better - if the guides blank and we have someone willing to submit the official press release correctly I don't think we have or would be turning them away.
