Because Court TV only changed its name, it didn't disappear. The same way Family Channel has evolved into Fox Family Channel and the Nashville Network became Spike TV. Different name, same channel.

You must mean "The Nashville Network" and I beg to differ. You have both Spike TV and TNN which stands for The Nashville Network both listed on the site but they had a name change, what's the difference?

You have the Family Channel wrong as well. It was FOX Family Channel then changed owners and became The ABC Family Channel in July 2002 both listed here as well.

This means both of your examples are wrong and your argument doesn't hold water I'm sorry to say!

I should never have given an example being tired from working here all day and painfully sick with Crohns for the past few weeks. But since the Court TV only changed names and not owners, I still am right. When it was announced that they were changing names, I asked the staff and both David and Seb said to just change the name. Case closed.

Since you are feeling poorly I won't argue with you but to say one last thing! New owners or not the other 2 shows did change their names and therefore the old names should also not be on the site!

Hope you feel better soon, chow!

Discovery Home Channel - http://www.tvrage.com/networks/US/DHCH
Planet Green - http://www.tvrage.com/networks/US/PLGN

"At 6 p.m. EDT on June 4, 2008, when Discovery Home Channel is re-branded Planet Green"
http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=20080408planetgreen01

Should these networks be merged? The programming completely changed, but the owner is still Discovery.

And on that note, shows that air(ed) on that network still have the former title linked, which goes to a dead end.

Correct capitalization of the network formerly known as SciFi is Syfy (lowercase f), but current capitalization on this site is SyFy (capital F). The official website's FAQ explaining the name change lists the network multiple times with the lowercase f. Please change to use a lowercase f.

Thanks.

Just a heads up, but The N will be rebranding itself TeenNick in September and I think Noggin is changing to something else too (I am thinking Nick jr. but I am not sure).

Yeah, Noggin will be relaunched as Nick Jr. on Sept. 28, the same date as TeenNick's start.
