Has anyone else noticed that screencaps and gallery images have a tendency to... vanish? No matter how many screen redraws I do, they just disappear and don't come back. Until eventually... they do.

In the galleries, it's always the images in the 5th or 6th position (going left to right, four photos to a row). It's always one or the other, not both.

I use Firefox (most recent update) as my browser, and it occurs on several different IPs that I use to access here, both DSL and wireless. Access speed both here and otherwise is typically good.

Otherwise there's no rhyme or reason to it. I could give you an example of page, but by the time you get there it will probably have fixed itself.

I don't know if it's related, but now I'm submitting quotes and episode references, and they're not appearing on the page. However, if I edit the category, they appear as individual items to edit or delete or whatever.

It doesn't matter how much I reload the page.

Is this some kind of weird caching issue? I'm seeing it now, and it's on a computer with high-speed access. But I've never had this problem before, on this or any other computer.

I also tried to open the page in another browser. Didn't display the info there, either.

Here's the page. Although by the time someone looks at it, it'll probably have fixed itself.

Also, I edited the summary. The change shows up if I click the Edit button to see what's there. But it doesn't actually show up on the page.

Don't know if it relates to the disappearing screencap thing above. Or it's a problem with just that page. Or a site problem. Don't have the time to start editing other pages at the moment to test.

Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!

Nope, I see it too, must be a caching thing on the server.

Yeah, it's doing it for at least one other page as well.

I've never had caching issues that take over 5 minutes to resolve. This is like a thirty-minute plus thing...

It's also a cache issue that just came up in the last 2-1/2 hours. The episode proceeding it displays all the edits and stuff I made that long ago.

Seems to be happening on many different shows at the moment and is happening with text and guest stars as well. The information is there but you cant see it unless you edit.

Six hours later...

The problem still seems to exist.

I noticed it this morning early on when I was working on my character guides for "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Make It or Break It" and it's apparently still not resolved. It's gotta be frustrating for the many editors on here that are trying to update their guides.

even changes within the Comments section of our profile pages won't update. As others have reported here, I can see the new information when I view everything in "edit" but when I update, old information appears.

I've deleted my cache, and updated to the latest FF (3.5.2) version and there hasn't been any change...

FYI, I reported in another thread that changes to the My Episode History section don't update either.

Looks like this is affecting all areas of the site, not just show guides...

I'd say the brains behind the site are looking to into it. I sure hope so.

Well, about 7 a.m. eastern, looks like you did whatever you did to let new info display. However, it looks like the info entered during the "down" period still isn't displaying. Although it's still there if you click on Edit Info.

I haven't seen the disappearing gallery thing happen even during this period. So maybe it's fixed. Will post again if it comes up again, hopefully I can grab a screen capture.

if per accident you see outdated pages, i think this problem also had a problem witch updating cached data, so it remained the same. if thats the case will have to remove all cache.

I'm having the same problems, any episode changes arent being listed (screenshots, crew, guest stars added to Crusoe and Psych).

If you list the episode guide for ALL seasons, they appear, tho.

Information that was submitted yesterday still isn't showing up unless you go to edit it.
