Discuss here about the latest in baseball. Bonds' quest for the record or trades happening around the league. Share your favorite team and some information about them.

I'll start, I love watching the Chicago Cubs play. I'd have to say the fight on Saturday was absolutely absurd. Derek Lee should not have been suspended because he was beaned intentionally and called a racial slur (n-word). It doesn't matter if he threw a punch, he didn't hit him. Once the brawl start he walked off. Regarding Barry Bonds, I would like to not see him break the record. He has done steroids if not that he has done performance enhancing drugs. He deserves to have all records, rewards, and accomplishments revoked and forgotten about. He lied to the grand jury and for that I will watch him in jail.

This is my 32nd year as a Yankees fan. I have lived through all the Steinbrenner trades and tirades along with 2 perfect games and 2 more no hitters.

I agree on Bonds. He should at least have an asterisk next to any records he accomplishes. He should also have a complete investigation before adding him in the HOF.

I'm a Dodgers fan all the way. The used to be in first place, but they have been slipping lately.

Yeah that has baffled me as of lately. The Rockies are the team around here and they went from the town disgrace to being regarded as amazing. I see people who talked about how terrible they are and how the manager should get the boot to now attending games...hypocrites. The Dodgers lost Schmidt for the year and I am sad to see him go down so early. The Padres seem like the only team in my eyes to give contention because those Giants don't have much leadership and the Rockies are not consistent. Should be a fun year come October though.

What are your views on interleague play?

I for one think it is gone past its prime and can be forgotten. I liked the Yanks, Mets series, but could care less about Yanks playing in Pittsburgh. Now we are in Colorado, why? What will this prove. The schedules need to be balanced in my opinion.

How 'bout the Cubs trading Michael Barrett to the Padres? Anyone expect that?

I know, what the hell is this? Rob Bowen is terrible and Barrett is a solid catched. Great move Jim Hendry your making me lose faith in my Cubbies one season after another. God damn, this is a low blow.

Didn't he start fights with two pitchers in less than ten days? I guess they have lost respect for Barrett. I had him on my fantasy team last year and he kept getting injured.

He got in a fight with the pitcher because he was calling the game properly and Zambrano wanted to go down and away but Barrett called somewhere else. The other fight was when Derek Lee got in a fight when he was hit buy a pitch. Overall it wasn't smart to ship him off unless something was happening with the front office and what not.

Reliever Rod Beck, Dead at 38

Rod Beck, a relief pitcher who wore a bushy mustache while earning 286 career saves, was found dead Saturday. He was 38.

Beck was found by police officers responding to a call to his home in suburban Phoenix, according to police department spokesman Andy Hill. Foul play is not suspected, though the cause of death might not be known for several days.

With long hair framing a menacing stare and an aggressive arm swing before delivering a pitch, the outgoing right-hander was a memorable baseball personality and a three-time All-Star who twice led the NL in saves. He spent the first seven of his 13 major league season with the San Francisco Giants.

Tonight, I heard Ryan Howard's 100th homer on the radio and saw Casey Blake's 100th homer on TV.

Did any one see Howard's homer? 505 feet is a loooong way.

Yankees are working their way down the list. I don't understand this team. Win 11 of 12 against Bos, WSOX and Mets and then lose 7 of 8 against crap like Col, SF and Balt.
