A tagline is a terrible thing to waste.

Don't nobody other than Liverpool supporters get any foolish ideas that you may win the title this year, the premier league is finally coming to Anfield.

That's rather funny. One of the most successful national teams of all time..

Three-time World Cup winner previously. In 2002 they finished up runner-up to Brazil and then in 2006 they finished third, after finally conceding a goal in the 119th minute to Italy. Germany is always in contention to win the World Cup. "It ain't gonna happen" is just a daft statement. Anyone who knows even a marginal amount of knowledge of this sport wouldn't say such a thing.

Wasn't last season the best year ever for Liverpool in the league? And crazy enough it still wasn't enough to win. I don't know if they can repeat another season like that.

It's a bit of a stretch, but Bayern Munich could. And then there's Real Madrid..

Maybe one of the Italian teams will make it to the final. For a change of scenery I wouldn't mind seeing a French team advance far.

As long as its not Lyon and Fiorentina at Liverpools expense

What pisses me off in the UK is the press & Tv pundits always saying it would be great to have all english finals, I hate this, its a european competition & I want my team to play european opposition in every round!

True, it is annoying. We see "all English finals" enough in the league cup and EPL as it is. But to be fair it's not their fault. Most teams just can't knock the English clubs out - they're too good. Look at last season. The only English team actually knocked out of the tournament by a non-English opponent was Chelsea against Barca.

Come to think of it, two season ago in the Champions League not a single English club was knocked out by a non-English opponent. Arsenal out by Liverpool, Liverpool out by Chelsea, and Chelsea out by Man United. Very telling..

Maybe it would be better if the Champions League was just like it used to be when it was the European cup...

WHEW, Alabama squeaked by cross-state rival Auburn yesterday. 26 to 21.

Auburn played very well.
