Appalachian State could run the table if they can keep their starting QB away from lawn mowers.

You'd think a lawn mower injury would be the end of a career for any athlete. I wonder what he did?

He slipped under a lawn mower and had to get stitches in his leg. Expected back for the season opener. Funny thing is there was a QB from Michigan who wanted to transfer to App State. Then we discovered that he was under indictment for trafficking cocaine. Our back-up QB is decent though. Florida offered him preferred walk-on status out of high school but he took the full ride from us.

I am so sick of Syracuse's AD Daryl Gross. His hirings so far have been busts and now he is giving away 3 home football games to their opponents...USC and Notre Dame. He agreed to have Syracuse play at the new Meadowlands Arena in 2012 vs. USC, and then 2 games to Notre Dame in 2014 and again in 2016. The funny thing is that this was the only way USC and ND would play against SU. Since Gross used to be the AD at USC, maybe he is giving them a break by letting them play at home and at a neutral spot. Meanwhile, we miss out on 3 home games.

Two weeks from today Alabama plays Virginia Tech. 'Bama might lose that one since they have no offense.

Someone feels like they will be a great team since the preseason rankings has them at #5.

Don't worry. Virginia Tech doesn't have an offense either. Their best RB went down with a knee injury, their OL couldn't block their way out of a pillow factory, and their receiving corps wouldn't scare a good high school secondary. Also, DO NOT believe any pre-game hype about Virginia Tech QB Tyrod Taylor. He's stunk up more stadiums than bad chili. Poor recruiting on offense caught up with the Hokies last year and it won't get any better this year.

Prediction: Alabama-24 Virginia Tech-10

I think they're overrated. sigh But they do have a pretty good defense.

Yeah I saw that VT has lost their RB for the season, I hate when college players get hurt so bad.
I hope you're prediction is right!!

Alabama will probably have a much tougher time against Virginia Tech than they did last year against Clemson when it was all over but the crying at halftime. The Hokies are very solid and physical on defense and I look for this to keep them in the game but I think Alabama has superior depth and this well tell the tale. Bama pulls away in the fourth quarter for the win and Virginia Tech message board morons will still claim Tyrod Taylor is better than Michael Vick if they could just get him some help.

Several Alabama players have the flu.
Right now it's about 10 players.

It's too bad Tyrod Taylor doesn't have the flu. Virginia Tech would have a better chance.

The problem with Tyrod is that because of him Virginia Tech had no shot at a blue chip QB named Phillip Sims who didn't want to sit on the bench. Sims signed with....drum roll, please....Alabama. I hate it when great Virginia high school players leave the state. Except for Percy Harvin. He had his hand out. He took a pay cut when he left Florida for the NFL.

LOL Hey, Alabama is in desperate need of a good QB. We lost Tebow to Fla. thanks to Mike Shula. At least that's what I (recently) heard. I don't keep that close a watch on the players, to lazy.
