Well Ingram sure won't be a contender this year with his injury. I'm betting he'll miss 4 games; 3 for sure.

ESPN Gurus have Alabama losing 3 or 4 games.
(Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas and maybe Penn State.) No way!

Penn State will get absolutely trashed by the Tide. Which experts were saying that the Lions would win?

I don't remember for sure as I sorta watch several shows but very casually. I think Lou Holtz and company were part of that prediction.

If PSU beats the Tide, Happy Valley will burn overnight.

As well it should; but the 'Bama tears will put it out.

My alma mater, Appalachian State, nearly gave me a coronary today. They trailed Chattanooga (which has several Tennessee transfers) 28-7 at the half and 35-14 going into the 4th quarter before rallying to win 42-41. They survived a two-point conversion attempt and an on-side kick at the end to win the game. Ole Miss, on the other hand, didn't survive a two-point conversion and lost to Jacksonville State. Oklahoma is struggling against Utah State. Georgia looked better than expected but it was against a weak team. Flurduh has to be concerned about their offense. It went nowhere most of the day.

Man Flurdduh look bad from the little I saw. They couldn't snap a decent ball in the first quarter.

Alabama won 48-3 but San Jose isn't a serious test. Penn State will be tougher I'm sure.

Dang, Boise State played the first quarter against VT like they were the champs they want to be. Boise still won but hey sure slacked off and almost let VT win. (final Boise 33-VT 30)

What did I tell you? Tyrod Taylor--world class chump who's stunk up more stadiums than bad chili. VT has two 1,000 yard rushers on their roster and yet their whole offense was based on Tyrod running around trying to play hero. Word out of Blacksburg is that at the end of last season VT coach Frank Beamer promised Tyrod that he would "turn him loose" if he would return for his senior year. Since VT opens with Appalachian State next year the word is that App State's head coach has applied to the NCAA to grant Tyrod an extra year of eligibility becaue he's never won an opener in his career.

That you did, good call.

Sure is a lot of useless talk about Boise State and the BCS games so early. BS just won one game and ESPN is having a climax over them.
I know they are expected to win all of their games but still....

I'd love to see Boise play Alabama or Ohio in a BCS game, Boise blood will be everywhere.

Boise State could probably play Alabama or Ahia State a tough game in a BCS bowl. Their advantage would be that they play a soft schedule during the season while Bama and Ahia State have to make their way through the SEC and Big Ten (or is it 12?) meat grinders. Boise would probably have fewer injuries and be the fresher team. We shall see what we shall see.

I don't know...they looked great in the first qtr and then BS started to lose the game and almost did. They ran out of steam and must not have the depth they need play at their peak all qtrs.

Yay, Alabama's cross state rival (Auburn) won against Mississippi State last night 17-14. Now when we beat Auburn it'll be sweeter.

Mad_Buck is Jacksonville going to be in trouble tomorrow against the Mountaineers?

I hope Penn State is in trouble against the Tide.

That poor Penn State quarterback went through some hard times tonight - especially for a freshman. He'll be out for revenge next year.
