Good morning and thanks for the add to this site. Looking forward to finding a way to rebuild a Jeep 2006 commander 5.7L Hemi that was murdered by manufacturing defect...but denied repairs. Any suggestions of how I might be able to save money, and rebuild a stronger motor? I was on my way home, stopped for gas..topped off and got back into the car and BANG!! She no works! No codes, no rod through block, just the sound of marbles, bearings, and what nots in the area of the #8 cylinder. Paid $130 to the dealer to have them tell me the motor is no good, only to be told by Chrysler that I need to pay about $750.00 to professionally tear it down. I have always had my car serviced at the dealer, and now this! It displays NO CODES ON ANY OF MY ISSUES!!! what's with that? Oh, hell no! I can't afford the $8700.00 estimated cost to put in a new motor. Perhaps some of your readers know how I can get my Jeep back on the road. Luck is not on my side...my work hours jaws reduced to 24 hours per week, and I need my car to care for mother who is in a nursing home at 93. HELP!!!!!!
