I am such a loser I read the last chapter. 19 years later. I most likely won't be reading the whole thing.

Yeah, the book was pretty okay. I would say I enjoyed it.

BTW Andrew where do I pick up my free Tibet that your avatar is talking about?

Omg, I thought you were killed. You never did show up in Orlando. Kelly and I searched for hours.

You'll have to go down Mulberry Street, take a left down Broadway. If you passed the bank you gone too far.

Yeah, it was crazy. I tried to create a time machine, but then I realized it was too hard, so I had some sandwiches and signed on. All in all, a good time!

*drives past a street sign with a huge tree obscuring the writing* That was probably Mulberry Street. *reads the part about going too far if I pass the bank just as I pass the bank*

Looks like we're getting an encyclopedia. Beware - the story contains spoilers concerning details about book 7.

I hope the encyclopedia gives family info, list of characters we haven't met, like the two missing Gryffindors. Hopefully, each character can have a physical description.

Don't let the final chapter ruin it for you. It was such a crap end to a great book

J.K. said her original epilogue was much more longer and detailed. She later decided it was to much info, so she changed it, and made it as if you were watching through a foggy window. There's always the next book, full of backstory and futures of characters.

It turns out that Harry, Ron, and Hermione revolutionized the Ministry of Magic, and are head of the Auror Office, and Hermione is up there in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

Don't judge the book on just the epilogue though. The book on a whole is great, while the ending is just saccharine.

The only one left on this site is you Kelly! She_wicked left for camp. Let's do this together Kelly.

Ack, sorry. I saw replies and thought it was wiser not to enter the thread. I feared spoilers, but now I see there are none! Anyway, I really enjoyed the book. I'm glad I paced myself because it was quite sad to finish it. And yeah, the epilogue was...well, it was a little unnecessary maybe, but I thought it was nice. I thought it was especially sweet that Harry and Ginny had a son named Albus Severus. I knew Snape wasn't evil!

We went to the book 7 release party, about 30 of us, all dressed up . . . it was absolutely amazing, everyone stayed in character the entire time. I was Bella Lestrange...

I liked the book (liked the party more, ahha), I thought the epolouge was a mite sappy, my 3 favorite characters all died, but other than that, it was most enjoyable. I read it the night it came out, I wanted to savor it, but we were going to Boston the next day and I worried there might be a billboard or something...

It hasn't hit me it's over. I still vaugly think another book is going to come out.

I think it will feel more "over" for me after I've seen the final movie. Speaking of which, I really don't see how they're going to do these last two books justice without splitting them into two films each or actually allowing them to run close to four hours (like they probably should have done with OotP).

For some reason, I was most moved by Dobby's death. I think the deaths of Fred, Lupin, and Tonks were glossed over too much, especially the latter two. They deserved more. Who all died?

Hedwig
Mad-Eye
Scrimegeour
Dobby
Pettigrew
Snape
Crabbe
Fred
Bellatrix
Lupin
Tonks
Voldemort (almost forgot him, LOL)

That's all I can remember. The entire time I was reading, I kept waiting for Ron or Hermione to die. I'm just glad they survived.

Dobby moved me the most. It was like 2am, I was lying on my bed next to an open window and I shreaked somethine along the lines of, "Dobby! No!" (And someone yelled back at me, "Shut up!")

Fred I was quite moved, but I got a hold of myself beacuse if I yelled anything else out, I probably would have been murdered...

I had a theroy going for a while that Bellatrix wasn't dead, as it never specifically says she is dead, if there was an 8th book I would expect a comeback...

Is Lavender dead?

I didn't think so, but it said in the book several bodies were thrown from the upper floors. Fenrir Greyback attacked one of the bodies, and Hermione stunned him off of Lavender Brown's body.

I hope Jo gives us the names of all the victims.

I forgot about Lavender. You're right; we never found out if she survived.

Also, I was watching Chamber of Secrets and remembered that Colin Creevy died in the battle.

That was pretty tough, just because of how he was described in book 2 as being so tiny and idolizing Harry. I agree tho... Dobby was the hardest for me, just because he was acting out of deep respect and love for Harry and his friends.

I knew that I'd shed tears for this book but had no idea how many. Harry's son's name, Neville being such a hero and making his grandma so proud, Snape's patronus, the marauders standing beside Harry as he prepared to face Voldemort for the last time... those were all HUGE!

Seriously... I love bad guys. Bellatrix was *so* bad, tho, that I gave serious thoughts to changing our dog's name... from Bellatrix to MOLLY!
