Is there a person alive who doesn't like this book? It's so heartfelt, and showed the cruelty of humans back in the '20s. It's my most favorite book up to date.

I can truthfully say I did not like it.

Although I did read it in 9th grade, I just can't see my tastes being that much different from then to now. However, I will watch the movie.

Seriously?? It's pretty damn famous.

I didn't like it either, but that probably comes from my general dislike of reading. There are books that I like but they are few and far between.

I've read it several times and loved it every time. Definitely one of my favorite books.

I read somewhere that TKAM has been a bestseller since the 1960s

I'm going to read it next year for English, but I have seen the movie. I heard a lot of good things from it, so I expect to enjoy it.

(reminisces scene from "Failure to Launch")

Gun Man -- "You can't kill a mockingbird!!"
Kit -- "Why not?"
Gun Man -- "Well, for one, there's that book, To Kill a Mockingbird"
Kit -- "Great I'll get one of those too"
Gun Man -- "It's not a guide to kill mockingbirds! It's an American Classic!"

But sadly, that's where my experience of TKAM ends. But hey, it was a great scene!
