Everyone seems to love this book but I pretty much hate it! I'm just reading the rest so I can do my book report for the term. Does anyone else hate this or am I just crazy?

It is pretty boring but the second one is somewhat better, although I'm only about 200 pages into it.

I realize this is an old thread, but thought I'd throw my opinion here as I just finished reading all three books yesterday and I for one liked the whole series, the second being the only exception, I thought that one was a bit boring, except for the end :\

The last book just came out, in case there are Twilight fans out there. Also, the movie is coming out in a few months or so. Just thought I'd throw that out there, despite never reading these before.

Yeah, I dunno if it has made its way to Finland yet, but I am definitely going to get the book, and also watch the movie whenever that makes its way over here... (usually takes a while)

I just finished reading Breaking Dawn, and it was really good in my opinion, a good end to the series.

My friend keeps trying to force me to read them. Are they really that good?

I didn't think so. But they are! They are like Harry Potter, except....more ...idk. But..it draws you in, wait- lures you in. Read them you must.

All right, you convinced me. The next time I buy something on Amazon, I'll add Twilight to my cart. It's only six bucks.

It took me about 3 months to get it from the library. You're probably better off buying it. It'd be well worth it.

I read them a few months ago...

It's really all about expectations. I was expecting nothing and I found them more hilarious than anything and they've become the source of numerous jokes among my friends.

It seems like any plot is just randomly tossed in after a few hundred pages and is very thrown together. The rest is just about Edward's "hotness"

What made the books for me was the rest of the Cullin chilluns... they are ridiculously under-used.

I'm half-way through the first book, and I don't plan on reading the sequels. This first book is boring. The 'alleged' romance is basically Bella's internal monologue talking about how she loves Edward. That's it. You will probably be told about all the 'action' or vampire fun in the story. Don't buy it. 300 pages in and the only thing that happened so far is the truck sliding into Bella. The only positive thing I can say about this book is about Edward. Edward is a smart-ass character and I love 'em. There's really nothing else positive I can say. It's boring.

People tell me to keep going, and it gets better. Why the heck do I want to read a book in which the story is well over half-way through before it gets interesting? The hype is bull.
