Fear of Flying, by Erica Jong.

Funny, I don't mind reading about sex or feminism, but this book simultaneously bored and annoyed me.

Cindy, you helped me complete my crossword puzzle -- the clue was "Kane and Jong." So at least that book was good for something.

I disliked the Scarlet Letter... largely because my English teacher was obsessed with finding homosexual relationships in the book I was fairly certain didn't exist (and everything else we read. Billy Budd because a huge running joke in my us history class)

(Chillingsworth/Dimmesdale? In a sexual relationship? Somehow I don't think Hawthorne was into that...). I also found it fairly boring and was too bored to search for symbolism

The Sarah Palin book "Going Rogue" was soooo boring and that is the worst thing a book can be.

I expected much more; but don't know why.

Someone as well-read as you expected more? Did you just think that the publisher wouldn't put out something that bad?

Maybe I should have said "From Lynn Vincent" Palin's ghost writer.

In High School, we had to read Fahrenheit 451 and Hiroshima. I could not stand either or them
