Hi everyone,

We are proud to announce the release of the new updated TVRage V4.
Browsing through the site has been made clearer, easier and faster.

There are now different color themes but you also have the option of switching back to the old version of TVR.

There is now a full time staff working on the site daily. This means that the site will be updated more frequently.

And we are always ready to listen to anyones suggestions, remarks or bugs that they might have found.

We look forward to hear what you think of the new version.

best regards,

The TVR-team

Maybe it's just me, but the schedule (which is my main love of this site - and definately a big-big love of the site), is just too white/bright, the text is too small (even with things at 160% - using Opera btw). There's too much empty space.

Though maybe I've just not yet found the "enlarge text" option. If so then my bad.

ps: I'm very much of the "change ahhhhhh" school, so this is very much an initial, just woken up, reaction.

ps2. maybe the schedule would be improved (for me) if the grid lines returned. (and larger text - my eyes hurt)

Looking good, but I also found an issue:

On the "my history" page, you can no longer see a clear difference between episodes that you have already rated and ones that aren't rated yet. The stars look the same for both and the border is also gone, making it impossible to see what episodes are rated and which aren't, other then hovering your mouse over the stars and see if they 'light up'.

The old layout change didn't "stick" for me. Do I have to reselect it every so often?

Yeah sorry NOT a fan of the REVAMP!
I totally agree with ZWIXXX. Too blindingly WHITE and being full page too much for the eyes and brain to pick up. Before with the fav show lists being condensed to the right of the screen was quick and easy to read, scroll, click onto and update. Sorry but I'm switching back.

P.S. LOVE you guys. You are the best and only site I use to check my shows so really ... "If it ain't broke ... don't fix it!"

The unbolded blue on white its too hard to read. The blue needs to be darker.

Will take a little getting used to, but I am glad to see that the general functions of the site seem to have stayed the same. I can handle a design change, just don't make overhauls to the system please, I like it the way it is!

Oh, man, what a surprise. While I was turned off at first glance, I like the way today's schedule is always expanded, and 'My Shows' is not hidden at the bottom left anymore. But it's a little hard to read; the text color needs to be tweaked.

OK, here's something that needs to be fixed. When I click on the episode number of my shows that are scheduled tonight, it brings up the episode with the title prominently displayed, but nowhere can I see the actual name of the series the episode belongs to!

I've been a lurker here for a while now and i love the new design. I haven't delved deeper in to it yet (just checked out the first page and show pages) but i really like what happened to the first page. Previously i almost exclusively used it for the schedule but now it feels like the news get more exposure. If i could change one thing though it would be to switch the columns of People news and Show news, but maybe that's just me

I know I'm usually one of the complainers, but I have to admit - I like it. I particularly like the fact that it looks more modern and that I could change the colours. I'm more partial to the plum. Concerning brightness, yeah it's somewhat bright but y'all do realize you can adjust your monitors instead, right? And that's coming from someone with light sensitivity and frequent migraines.

I do have a couple suggestions though. You might want to shift things around on our personal profiles. The right side starts to get a touch heavy while the left is blank as you scroll down to the bottom. Also on the box where our name and avatars are, it might look a little better if the avatars are next to the name instead. The text about our interests and all seem a little cramped.

Oh, new emoticons would be great whenever y'all get the time.

I myself am usually the one complaining about sites being too bright. Usually when that happens I just turn the brightness down.

Still, if there are people interested in a dark themed layout where all backgrounds are black and the texts are white, we'l add one.

I totally agree with defect...love love love it...don't think it was "broke" to begin with but even if it aint broke, everything has to change now and again... I haven't gone too deep yet either but what I've seen so far is fabulous. I also am of a slightly older generation and use reading glasses anyway the blue printing could be a bit darker but I'm sure it'll all work out in the end. Change is inevitable..let the past go and let's move to the future
