Ah, that explains it. We use cookies for remembering the 'old layout' preference, but also for remembering your login information. Once you clear all your cookies, that info will be lost.

Overall the look of the new site is nicer, but I miss one feature of the old version--on the page that shows the upcoming episodes of my favourites, I used to be able to hover my pointer over the episode number to get that ep's name, but that no longer works. Or is there a setting that needs changing?

I picked the Old Layout, but I want to see the New Layout sometimes to see how things are going. But I can't. Every time I open it I get the old layout. And I cleared out my cookies.

Seb I think you were way too nice with that sorry S.O.B. "andbaxt2010" I hope they never come back here. I guarantee they will not last very long over at tv.com (sorry) because they do not stand for even a few BAD words before they remove the post and boot you immediately from the site.

I've seen that happen many times in the past when I would visit there but I have not been there in over 2 years maybe they have changed? (NOT!)

i tried it in FF4, and it works perfectly fine. the exact problem, is when i'm in the menu, and i'm over a menu item, that has arrow (it's a sub-menu) doesn't appear/expand. none of them. like:
contr(i see only this, is this a cut off too?)>editor center
contr>admin
bookmarks>any of them.

here's how I go back & forth... (to view new layout)

1. Log Out (of old layout)
2. Delete TVRage cookies
3. click on banner for new layout
4. Log In (to new view)

Just had to register to tell you that I am amazed by the new look of this site!
I always found it too confusing and overcharged.
Now it has better colors and a nice clear webUI - fantastic!
From now on I'll enjoy coming here!

I agree with this and am very happy about the site design. To put it bluntly my TV-addicted friends and I have always been laughing about TVRage, or rather its look and navigation. We knew it to be one of the best resources on show/episode information there is, but the cluttered and overloaded design made it almost impossible to find. Or rather, it was so off-putting that you didn't even want to look for it. TVRage has been stuck in the worst spot of early-90s webdesign, lacking and usability. Which was a shame because I think of the many people who maybe thought at first glance that TVR was unprofessional or even a scam site, and never came back.

This has been a long time coming and I have been looking forward to this inevitable redesign for ages. It finally compelled me to register for an account, after many years of lurking. So good job guys!

Can I shrink the schedule? And can I get rid of the Episode Trailers and put the Countdown up top. I got the new one by going into IE.

Hate the new design and have gone back to the old template, much more managable than the eye-sore I have to navigate through
