When adding a new show, I have to wait like a day or two before this will get approved before I can start adding episodes.

When you create a show, you enter the premiere date, so the first episode should be added automatically in my opinion.

Would also be great if we could add some episodes when creating the show, so those episodes could be approved right away

I agree with you and think it is a good idea.

It is a really good idea and I do believe it has been discussed before by the staff as something that we would like to see included in the new version of the site when it launches.
