Yes, or maybe have the links show up in bold to the sections with something in them, like Character Guides, Merchandise, Episode Lists, etc.

Another gripe I have with merchandise is the fact that some members are "creating" merchanise which has NO info added to it. I've seen hundreds of DVDs listed that only have Date Released and Title as the information. I think there should be a limit of basic information that must be added in order to create an item.
Such as:
Pic
Date
Title
Production Company
and
a Description of more than one sentence.

i've been thinking for some time that there should be a feature that people could request stuff. Like, there;s a button on places where no information has been submitted yet. People who want the info can submit it, and the S31 or CC; (or whoever) can do there job, and fufil peopl'e's request. The Request feature will be, idealistically, the same as the contributing. All Request will go to a Request Center (maybe split into categories), and people (maybe some qualification, idk) can view the request, and can enter the information. It will help info-less guides get filled out better, and know what people want. Even unregistered people could request. Maybe a request form - like Name (if un registered) and why you are requesting it

Andrew, do you mean that Member A wants someone else to enter all of the episode summaries for Home Improvement, so they would put that into an official Request form? Is that your idea?

Well, not all the episodes, unless the clicked the "Request a Summary" button on each episode.

For example, if I was a unregistered guest (or a guest), and I wanted information on South Park Episode 11x01, and I see that Cindy (I use her as an example always because I admire her work. I'm sure Cindy will fill that info once it's released) hasn't submitted a summary. I click the Request Summary (or if I'm from Russia or w.e I click Request Foreign Summary). If I want Guest Star info, I click the request. If you really wanted to to get created, you go also create a Bulk Request (like Contrib.).

The requests would first go to the editor center, under request. Under a set amount of time, the Request would be available in the Main Request Center for people who can see that (maybe public, or private)

I don't know. I seems like a good idea. I'm not sure how it would work out.
(obviously, the request links would resemble the other ones. I just threw something together quick).

Or, instead of doing all that hard work, there could just be a thread somewhere where members could make request. Anyone could fufill someones request.

If I wanted a Picture for Andrew Smith (3), I could request that someone submit a pic. If people found a pic, they could submit it for me. If not, oh well. They tried.

It increases chances that lesser known People/Guides/Eps. gets filled out with legit info.

don't know if it has been addressed or not...but in the type of episode, maybe add a spot for Pilot.

I'd like to see rank added to mechandise, so an editor can control what order it gets displayed. Failing that, I'd like to see it sorted from most recent to least recent, or even better, for users to have some sorting options. Some shows have *a lot* of merchandise attached to them (or will ) and finding what you want in the midst of randomly organized thumbnails is tedious.

Grammar checking is very difficult to implement correctly, because while English has a grammar, it's not all that regular. In addition, it is possible to slave oneself to obeying the grammar checker and turn out uninteresting prose. Certainly it's worth learning to avoid, for example, passive voice - but one can rely too heavily on a machine for this, and then you'd end up with my hometown newspaper: riddled with homonym errors and not all that interesting to read.

An archive box for old email you don't want to get rid of quite yet would be a nice idea...

That's what "Maps" are for. Just make a map called "Archive" or "Save File" or whatever you like!

Wow, I did not know that. I guess I sort of just always ignored "Maps," since I didn't know what it meant. Thank you!

There should be a setting that allows us to choose which region of merchandise we want to view. IE. The show Farscape will have close to 90 items to view, but could be cut in half by choosing the region that you want to view.

Because I keep separate files of my work (in case the site loses them or something), I sometimes get extra newlines at the end of things when I cut and paste them. The Preview does not show these. I'd like it if the preview could show them, or if they could be stripped automatically from the ends of submissions like Quotes, Notes, and so on.
