Oops. I meant A not I.

I like the 15 Newest Shows idea. Perhaps a 15 New People if the shows were added?

Are any of you familiar with Myspace? Well, when you add a picture, it goes into a Gallery, kind of like our Image Galleries here. Well, whenever you want to, you can pick any of the pictures in the gallery, and choose it as your default picture, which will appear on your profile. What if we connected the Main pic with the Gallery, and editors/contrib can pick a default pick, and change the main picture whenever. No point system would be attached, but it be kind of nice feature.

That could also be done with our avatars.

Each account could hold, say, 5 different avatars.

We have a Premiere date, day and time. To keep the guides current we should add a space for the correct current day and time. Many times the day and time is changed by the networks and shows up wrong in the Rage TV schedule. The only way to fix this now is to add a special airtime, but that is not being done by most members, leaving the schedule a mess. This way it would always show up correctly.

Example:
Network: ABC
Premiere: June 01, 2006
Day & Time: Thursday (06:30 pm)
Currently On: ABC Family Tuesday (8:00 pm)
Runtime: 30 Minutes

I think it should rather be on each episode and the system should automatically input the "currently on" time in each episode when it is created, which the contributor could manually override.

The problem is, as Chris wrote, day and airtimes change over the course of a show's life or even during a single season! So, just looking at the "currently on" time would give someone the impression that each and every episode aired on that day and at that time when the airday/time changed two months ago... so, some of them did and some of them didn't. I think it is impractical to rely on contributors to go back and manually input the previous time for all prior episodes each time the "currently on" time changes.

Now, keeping track of changes in day and time schedules, as far as overall show history ("well, it used to air on Saturday night at 10:00 following Matlock, but then it changed to Fridays at 8:30 which put it head-to-head with Night Rider"), should be done in the season guides in my opinion.

Couldn't you just have it set to the day the episode airs on? Like, if an episode airs on October 30, 2007, it will automatically set to a Tuesday, and show up on the Tuesday schedule.

Yes, but the point is that as of today, the show airs on say, Tuesdays at 6:00 pm, but next week the show is changing schedule to air on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm and then in two months it will be airing on Fridays at 6:45 pm. The way things work right now, when the editor changes the day/airtime the first time, it will look like each and every episode aired at 7:30 pm and when the editor changes the day/airtime the second time all of the episodes will look like they aired at 6:45 pm even if the date shows Tuesday instead of Friday. The system does not currently capture the time unless you manually input a "special airtime" on each episode.

For Awards, maybe a "Won" section, where the show won the Award and then a "Nomination" section, where you put the nominations the show was nominated for, but didn't win, since being Nominated is sometimes considered "honorable".

Also, maybe a Year section, where you enter the year the show won/nominated for it, and maybe a recipient section which links to the person's guide.

Also, Awards for people.

Suggestion: Make the name in the "Approved Contribution: New Person" a hyperlink to the new entry if this is possible. When using the bulk adding tools, one does not have an opportunity to add details like birthday or death day before the new entry gets shipped off for approval. Having an easy way back to it to add these bio bits would increase the likelihood that it would actually happen.

I agree. When you add shows, the show is hyperlinked. It should be the same with People.

When pulling up an episode list, a hyperlink named 'All' shows all the episodes. A link like this for the episode guide would be occasionally helpful: sometimes one wants to quickly scan episodes to verify that an actor isn't there under another name before requesting a new entry.
