I was thinking the same thing. An automatic inclusion would be helpful.

Maybe unnecessary, but in the drop down menu at the top that says Page where you can select, duh, the thread page that you want, it would be nice if the order went "First, Last, 1, 2, 3..." instead of having Last at the bottom. If I have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list anyway, I might as well just click the last page number.

A few things:
1. A list of shows that have been updated in the past week for the xml feeds. This way, to update our local database, we wouldn't have to hit the site for every show in our database... instead we can just hit it for the ones that have been updated. It would be greatly appreciated.
2. Include overviews in the episodes and series xml feeds.
3. XML feed for the trailers? something like youtube's html code?
<object width="425" height="355">... I don't want to include the whole thing.
4. XML feed for latest news for a show? And dvd merchandise?

the third and fourth things are stretching it, but i would greatly appreciate it if you could include the first and second things.

Thanks

A summary of what happens in an episode.
So, for example, if it was The latest episode of 'Family Guy', the episode summary would be:

During a visit to the vet Peter steals a parrot, and decides to become a pirate. Meanwhile Chris falls for the vet's intern. (Amanda Bynes)

Or a summary of the show:

Family Guy is the hit animated sitcom schemed up by Seth MacFarlane (American Dad! and The Winner). The show was picked up by FOX and first aired in 1999, but soon after was put into the "death timeslot". Grasping for ratings from being up against Friends and Survivor, the show was cancelled in 2002....(theres more but too much for here)

How about RSS feeds for People and Show news? Not for individual shows, but for its entirety. Like on Latest TV News and Latest People News sections.

Maybe network news as well?

If this is in fact an idea/suggestion Forum is it not ideas/suggestions from members to help make the site better and more useful and more user friendly among many other things? Then why are we making suggestions here just to banter them back and forth to each other? Shouldn't each suggestion/idea have some sort of official response from a Moderator so we know they are all being read?

I'll post this again for the 3rd time and hope I get some kind of official response this time otherwise I'm just wasting my time and won't bother anymore?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Can we please get one enhancement on the daily TV listing schedule? I would love to see the length of the show how long it’s scheduled to run that night, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 120 minutes etc. Even if its’ a show you always watch they may expand its’ time like "American Idol" sometimes is 1 hour sometimes its’ 2 hours I never know?

My best example would be this:

If Idol starts at 8PM and you go to 9PM and there is no show scheduled for FOX at 9PM you can’t always assume its’ 2 hours because a repeat of something might be on at 9PM like House is sometimes and repeats are not listed? Does this make sense?

Idol is not the only show that sometimes is 2 hours, sometimes 1 hour and sometimes even 90 minutes but it changes its' length more often then all the other New episodes of shows do put together.

Now this may not work if its' a show that has an Editor if the Editor does not know the length on a particular night is out of the norm? Or if the Editor cannot update the length in time? Or if they are not on the site for a week or longer but hopefully this will be very few instances?

Thanks for reading in advance, Ron.

If you can than go right ahead. You don't need permission.

This would be nice.

Aswell, a show such as the LOST Finale has two episodes airing on the same day. Would it be possible to include the alternative airtime in the xml feed?

Thanks

BLOG SUGGESTIONS

  • PRIVATE BLOGS - You were once able to make your blog private so nobody could view it, but now, the private blog button doesn't work. Bring this back. Also, the ability to have private blogs, but to choose select people to be able to view it.

  • Poll Blog Changes - Ability to edit/remove blog poll after blog is posted. If you made a mistake, or if you just think the poll distracts from your blog, you are able to remove it. OR, the ability to close a poll.

Can we please either get a PM or an Email when there is a response to a post we have made in the Forum? We are light years ahead of TV.com on a ton of NEW stuff and many other sites for that matter. So why are we still in the prehistoric era when it comes to notifications? Does no one here care, is that it?

If there was a notification for you posts, you should have to enable it yourself in your settings, otherwise, if you post alot, like Ryan or myself for example, you would be flooded with tons of PMS.

I'm all for e-mail notifications when you receive a new message or submission to a guide, but each time someone replies to a post?
