I'm a member of a local TV database for my country and the site has few quite addicting features, so I decided to share it here

1. Here on TVRage we have a simple levelling, the site also has levelling but also a system of trophies. Each trophy is gained for something and has 6 levels.
As an example which trophies: amount of rated shows; amount of rated episodes; amount of time spend on site; amount of time spend in night (sleepy trophy); trophy per each genre (medical, action, crime, etc), major networks (HBO, Showtime, etc), major countries (UK, CZ, etc); visiting the site during christmas, new year, friday 13th, site birthday, etc; for taking Emmy awards survey who will win; amount of members visited your profile; trophies for site games... and tons more
When you reach a trophy level a funny friendly message displays for a moment. Each trophy is visually represented as an icon in a member's profile.

2. The site has few site games related to TV.

First is the Tradegame. Based on a secret algorithm (popularity, bookmarks, i want to see, subtitles download, etc.) a price for each show is calculated every day. Each member has a starting credits and then buys shows and waits for a next day. Either his account balance increases or decreases. Only top 100 shows sorted by price is possible to buy. If a show gets off the top 100, the price is 0. There are statistics of successful members and trophies for it.

Second is the Postergame. Every week is chosen a poster that is mosaiced in order to make it hard to recognize and split into pieces. The first day only one piece is displayed, the other day one more, etc. After a week, a correct answer is uncovered and original poster published. For the successful answer you get site credits and trophies. The sooner you enter the answer, and is correct, the more credits you can get.

3. A search for the Lost trophy. The lost trophy is hidden in a detail of some show. If no one can find it a hint is published after several hours. If you find it you get a trophy and site credits.

4. Surveys of awards like Emmy or which US shows will survive the season. If you are successful, trophy and site credits is yours.

Note: Site credits are used to buy bonus features of site (like ability to chose a different tv show background than the one selected by admins as default for the month) or buy real gifts (t-shirt, cup, etc..)

5. And my suggestion is to improve site design. The logo is perfect.

I would like to suggest a very small improvement be added in the next Update for Date of Birth. Currently if we do not get all 3 items day/month/year then nothing appears but the year. My suggestion is if a year only is found and input that an update would show 2 years of age the person could be. Here is an example used at Wikipedia

1958 (age 55–56)

I believe that would be a great improvement for the site as a whole?

Suggestion for site improvement sometime in the future please?

I find myself sometimes accidentally finding a lot of summaries at a Network or Show site and wanting to be sure every episode I have found a summary for has one already on the site. It would be great and save tons of time if on the Episodes screen there was a row that has this information on it “Summary – Yes / No?” This way you can look down the list of episodes and add in any blank ones so you do not have to click on every single Episode one at a time to see if it has a summary already or not?

Some sights like "National Geographic Channel" keep their Episode summaries for a very, very long time.

Example like the Episode Screenshots “Type Has Pic” No or Yes

Thanks for reading my suggestion, Ron.

If you click on Episode Guide under Show Menu, you can check for missing summaries that way.

Future Site Improvement Suggestion - Any show that is marked as a 1 Episode only Special if the System itself could automatically do the following on the day after the date the Special aired.

The Site should change the following automatically:

Change Status to: ENDED
Change Ended On to: Date the show aired on
IF Episode Order DOES NOT have a 1 showing already then Change Episode Order to: 1

Thanks for reading my Suggestion, I HOPE that it can be Implemented someday?

Once a show has aired, it no longer has an episode order. I agree with the other points though.

You didn't have a praise section. So I'm putting that here.
You have a great site. I absolutely adore having my very own schedule with the shows I follow.

Keep up the wonderful work. Bless you and yours.
