How about you whip up a page that explains some basics of contributing, like a step-by-step guide, and then link that page to a big "Start Contributing" or "Contribute Now" button on the front page. |

I'd like to see a big picture of my beautiful self.
Jk of course.
Umm...jeez. I definitely like the what's on today we have now. But, I'd maybe like something like TVTome had almost. What about that poll idea we were talking about before? I'd like to see some sort of weekly poll, dealing with TV of course. Will post more when I can think straight.
Would also like to see a "What was hot last night" type of thing like TVTome had. It would just list the top 3 or 5 hottest, most anticipated shows that were on last night. |

Not something for the front page perhaps, but special feature type pages when new series start of popular series, or when lots of new shows are announced, that sort of thing. |

Dunno why, but i think a pic would look good on the main page. Maybe a pic from a clip of a show that was on the other night, or is popular. Could change daily or something? Of course, we'd have to make sure we can use the pic without legal trouble. |

I like the idea of a "What was hot last night" type thing. But it would be good to have not just American shows (although I realise that's most of the audience here), but also British shows. Would it even be possible (this would probably be a lot of work, but it's an idea) to have seperate front pages, or at least seperate What was Hot/Poll sections depending on what you have your country set to? Although having said that it would be interesting to see American shows as well. So maybe just have them both?
Oh, and not just what was hot last night, but what will be hot tonight. Possibly. |

Maybe something like this . I always go there for little movie news and stuff, so maybe we could set up something like that runned by our members. You must be an active member though, so no newsbies, i'm afraid, so no big risk of spam. If there is, immediate removal of column position, and a replacement would be set up. I personally like Mike's Buzzbin, so maybe something like that for tv.
Maybe Member of the week or something, where a member is featured on the front page. It'd be decided by the staff though.--eh..
Featured Person, and Show based on there popularity, or gossip at the time OR Completed Shows would be featured, and "completed" people would be shown. time could be later decided on.
A ratings page, that shows the previous days rating. I'm sure there's a site where you could find that info.
I'm not sure how hard this would be, but maybe a layout change. Nothing complete, just the shade. Like a bluish shade, a redish shade, a green shade. If you use msn messenger, you probably get what i'm talking about. i don't mind the grey, but thought it'd be a fun idea.

Agree. Same with the member profiles. They do that over there.
I think what makes us unique is that our home page sucks. I honestly almost never go there. I have My TVRage bookmarked as well as the forums, and I'm always logged in.

Oh, heavens no! Sorry, I didn't mean the layout, I just meant what was on the page.I meant that we could have columns or something which would be written by a member. I'll use some members as examples.
Cindy would be in charge of the gossip column, and she'd come up with a clever name, called cindy's critque or something. She'd write about celebrity and tv gossip.
Then there's Cokebeard who writes about celeb fashion, since everyone knows that's his favorite subject. He'd write about the new trends on tv, the clothes, or whatever.
and so on. People could apply for there own column, and it'd be sort of fun, i guess. its not important though. i just thought it'd be cool or something. |
