Jesus, this forum is like Grand Central Station! I could hardly find my post and the reply because they'd been buried so far beneath the all traffic.

It's minor. But I'm not a huge fan of the constantly changing news headline.

It's just a personal annoyance to me. It's distracting when I'm reading the rest of the headlines off to the right hand side.

Other than that small thing. TVRage is a wonderful site.

If I want to read a news article from the TVRage website, I would click the "News" link. It is very annoying to have the news everywhere. Not just at the front page, but the news is on every page. Make this collapseable.

I do not like slide shows on front page. Slide shows are an unwanted gimmick feature on the front page of many other websites, including TVRage. Make it collapseable.

I do not like facebook. Facebook is bad and it is getting worse every day. 99.9% of facebook is a spam site and you were previously against adding a "thousands of people 'like' TVRage, thousands followed @TVRage, Thousands +1 TVRage." Why did you change your policy? I frequent TVRage to escape from the silliness of the other sites. Please make this collapseable also.

I really don't like main images for some TV shows here and resistance to change anything because "We already have a main image".

Some examples:
Harper's Island: http://www.tvrage.com/Harpers_Island
Reason: Some kind of weirdly-made crap. Cast photo with original poster on top and ugly border around it.
Suggestion:

The Shield: http://www.tvrage.com/The_Shield
Reason: This is not so bad, although there are much better looking ones.
Suggestion:

The Twilight Zone (2002): http://www.tvrage.com/The_Twilight_Zone_2002
Reason: Bad quality.
Suggestion:

Warehouse 13: http://www.tvrage.com/Warehouse_13
Reason: Not very informative screenshot from the show intro.
Suggestion:

FlashForward: http://www.tvrage.com/FlashForward
Reason: Bad quality, ugly.
Suggestion:

I've tried to change main images for these TV shows and all of it got rejected because "there already is a main image and nothing is wrong with them". Why would you reject attempts to make TVRage content look fancier?

Popup ads have to go. They are unacceptable.

Sorry for the late response.

The problem is, you're stating a personal preference ("I really don't like...", "better looking"). What if the next person doesn't like the image you're submitting? Or thinks the show should have a less fancy image? Or thinks theirs is better than yours? And the person after that doesn't like theirs? And so on?

What if the editor thinks it's already fancy enough?

Just as with show images, I don't believe we want people rewriting summaries (show or episode) just based on what they do or don't like, either. There should be an objective reason to change them, not a subjective opinion: the same for show and episode images. There are hundreds of subjective opinions, a lot of them that conflict with each other.

Hope that helps.

Are you using an ad blocker?

Otherwise... well, they pay the bills. I'm sure Seb would be glad to take donations. If you want to eliminate popups, send the bills in stacks of $1,000.
