Speaking of editing Favorite Shows... (Sorry, it's too late to edit my last post.)
Why does it list them out of order? I mean, I understand that the shows with no upcoming episodes are listed after those that do have upcoming episodes, but what's the reason for that? It makes it harder to find the show in the list that I wanna edit.
I know I'm the only person who cares this deeply, but I can't explain how it makes me feel. *gets a therapist* |

Do I have to Repost this every week or so before I get an Official reply from someone who cares please?
What I do not like the most is the Duplicate, triplicate and on and on and on submissions for Stars because the Search function does not also search by real birth name. I know that is not the only reason there are so many but it is a BIG factor so once again I suggest this please?
Why can't the Search function be updated to look for real birth name? Some actors, actresses, singers etc. are listed on the site under their real birth name but if you do not know that you may be looking for them under an AKA that is not on the site yet?
If you do not find them under any aka's you are prone to add them on the site and if they are here it becomes a duplicate that must later be removed by someone else who finds it by accident.
If the person adding the actor by the name they believe it should be under adds their real birth name as a part of the add then it is so much easier to find duplicates this way.
Example – Let’s just say that (hypothetically speaking of course) John Wayne was on the site as John Wayne as he is and should be. But someone maybe 18 never heard of John Wayne (kind of absurd I know but like I said hypothetically speaking) they somehow put in his real birth name “Marion Robert Morrison” to search for him (why, I don’t know this is just an example). They don’t find him because the site does not search for a person’s real birth names and if the real birth name is not listed here as an aka, the person may never find this actor?
If you put in “John Wayne” you find him.
If you put in aka “Duke Morrison” you find him.
If you put in aka “Michael Morris” you find him.
If you put in his real birth name “Marion Robert Morrison” the site does not find him because it does not search on real birth name.
I had better examples of this problem in the past but I can no longer find them, sorry. I hope this makes sense?
Lastly while I am on the subject of the site search. Does the site have a value or whatever it is called to use to search for someone if you do not know the correct spelling of their last name? Maybe like an asterisk (*) or something?
I put in John W and it brought up a few thousand but when I put in John Wa it took me to someone named “Michael John Warren”.
I wanted the search list to come up again but with a lot less names to look through so I tried John Wa* but same thing happened.
If the site does not have one can we add that onto the to do list for the far future as a helpful search hint?
Thanks for reading, I hope this was as "Clear as Mud"?, Ron
The only response I got from this last Month was from a Member who agreed my idea was good and sound. Now if a Management person could make some sort of comment about this I would greatly appreciate it please?
I have mentioned this in several PM's earlier in the year and was told to put it in the Forum so Seb could see it?

Ron, in the past I too have suggested that searches also pick up on birth names. Sebrioth will get to it eventually. |

Thanks Mac that's fine that he will get to it eventually. I just wanted to hear from some official person that it was on the list that's all!

You're not the only one.
Just to make sure you noticed, the word "Rank" on top of the first column is clickable and it puts the shows in numerical order. Unfortunately, you have to click the link every time to put it in order.
From previous responses to this complaint, I gather that there *are* people who like to put more than one show at the same number, so I've given up on getting that changed, but here's my suggestion: change the way we edit the rankings so that it's more like the "Alternate edit form view" that editors have for episodes (versus the "clicking on the edit button of each individual episode" type of editing that the rankings have now) so we can change a bunch of shows' ranks at the same time. I know that would make it a lot easier for me to manage my favorite shows.
And for people who aren't familiar with the alternate edit form view, my suggestion is basically that we get an edit page that has one line per show where we can change the rank right there and then press one submit button that would make all the changes at once. |

Or how about "move up" & "move down" on the list buttons? |

Depending on how much you're editing the ranks, that can be either more or less clicks than our current method. But the one edit page would be much easier. No matter how many ranks you edit, you'd only have to load the one edit page and then the page with the new ranks after submitting. That's equivalent to editing just one show with our current method (the edit page and page with new ranking) or two shows with the Up/Down method (page with new ranking x 2).
Plus, the single edit page would allow you to see all the shows' ranks while editing, let you use the keyboard to tab through the textboxes where we type the ranks, and let you change a show's rank more than one up or one down at a time. |

Has anyone taken consideration in to what i said above?
The scroll bar in the info of a shows main page is really annoying so is there a way it could be removed OR this would probably be better, could it be made so we can filter it out?
I complain about this because it's a huge turn off and it's actually been turning me away from the site, which isn't good at all.
When i scroll down on my lap top i use the slider and i'm usually center of the page as it's a more comfortable and standard position, and when i do that the scroll bar gets in my way and it takes longer to get to how far down i want to get.
So if something could be done about this -- like a filter -- that would be awsome and really appreciated, and i don't think i'm the only one here.
Sincerely
King Ryad |

Since you can customize the show guides, couldn't a feature be added that made the scroll optional if you didn't want it. That way, for people who don't want it, they can just check a box that would remove it. |

Can we please, please, please get back the People/Stars stats like we have for shows. It was on the site at one time for 2 years or so then it disappeared and has not been back for almost a year now?
How can we monitor each person/star if we or anyone has the required 40 points needed for each person we are the Editor of if we can't see any of the contribution points for that person?
If we cannot get it back can you please explain why? Also if we can''t get it back then can we please get the 40 point minimum requirement removed until we can see those points/stats again someday? It makes no sense to have a requirement that cannot be met!
Thank you for reading and I hope posting a reply, Ron?

The 40 point rule is for show guides only, and you only need 40 points in your total accumulation to qualify for a people guide. So, you would have no problem getting a people guide. |

That makes a lot more sense to me when you say it that way but that was not how I originally read the statement, my error for mis-interpreting it. I still would like to see the old Star/People stats come back again as it use to be. With all the stats on the site now some that worthless/useless this one has more importance in my opinion.
I had one person I was editing a few years ago that I had added so much stuff to them shows, bio information, trivia, photos etc., etc., etc. that I had over 100 points on them alone.
Why was that stat. removed please?
