I motion that we put standards into place for quizzes. I’m sorry, but when every other word in a quiz is misspelled, even in the answers, it really doesn’t make our site look very good. I know that I must sound like an elitist, but we need to have some degree of quality control.

Yes, and for reviews as well.

I agree about the quizzes as well, look at the misspelling of the most recent quiz (for The Suite Life of Zack and Cody).

Is it really that hard to use the spell check? And why can't people capitalize names? If you can't follow basic typing practices, then you shouldn't be allowed to submit any information...be it a quiz, review or whatever.

That same person submitted a quiz that had even worse spelling/grammar for my SpongeBob guide.

Yeah, that’s the reason I made this topic. I saw that SpongeBob quiz and I realized how horrible it was.

I reckon a quality control team needs to be made for reviews and quizzes.

Its too bad that all submissions cannot be automatically viewed by a spell/grammar check program before being accepted. Any poorly written submissions would be red flagged by the program and automatically rejected.

Well, that could be somewhat iffy. Some shows have intentionally misspelled words, including the guide that I edit. If the system were entirely automated, it wouldn’t be able to detect which misspelled words are supposed to be misspelled, which means some potentially valid contributions could get rejected.

Well, perhaps it could be lenient. Like "X" number of spelling mistakes it would be rejected, not just a single error.

It sure would. Some shows such as Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood has misspellings in the titles alone. But having a program that red flags a possible mistake would make finding errors easier. if you use Firefox as a browser, you automatically get words underlined that are wrong. All of us make typo's and this is a HUGE help by pointing them out before hitting that submit button.

Please no more Hannah Montana quizzes for at least a few months. We've got enough as it stands.

Actually, it isn't automatic. To enable it, bring up the context menu when typing in a text box and select 'Spell Check this field'. It is a persistent properly, however.

Technically, yes. But when I first got this version of Firefox, the spellcheck was already turned on....that's how I knew it was there.
