Ok, let's try here:

please, do not use any Internet tool to translate your guides! You should only write and submit foreign summaries (etc.) if you possess enough skills in that given language.

But if that's part of one of the phases of completion, how else are we supposed to get the foreign summary?

So I'm guessing you already have the guide Phase Four complete. Only if you have Phase Four completion would you need to even think of a 'requirement' of foreign material.

Yeah, ebonics yo, and hick y'all.

I think far too much attention is being placed on something that's almost useless. I could make my crap Chinese, but who the hell is going to read it?

Anyway, I think native speakers, or close to it, should write the foreign language summaries, not 'some dude with an 'A' in [insert language here]'. We are trying to build a quality site, and half-assed translations are not a welcome site by anyone.

Good point, unless the menus and such are also multi-lingual that wouldn't attract foreign language speakers (who don't understand English). Well actually it might be for a minority, who is able to understand a little, but not enough to understand summaries and such o.0

btw. Who is the reviewer for German? It's quite obvious for Dutch and Portuguese.

I see. I will just get help then if I ever need foreign summaries. I bet I'm smarter than Google. I can at least conjugate.

By the time that phase five rolls around for any of the guides, I'm sure we'll be able to find Assistant Editors who read/write other languages.

I thin that the links for the languages should say 'Deutsch', 'Español, etc. instead of Spanish, German, etc. That way it would be easier for some people who only speak that language.

Although this hasn't come up yet, how am I supposed to process a submission in Spanish if I don't have the slightest clue to what they're writing?
Would picking a co-editor who only has access to the submissions in Spanish be an option?

All foreign language submissions will go through a designated 'person' who is in charge of that language for the site. For example, someone such as SebDE may read all the German submissions; Blae the Dutch; Murdock the Portuguese; HappyPig the Chinese, and so on.

Andrew could do the Midwestern somemissions."Buffy and Willow were like goin' along they're business, ya, but sure enough, they were attacked by vampire thingers you betcha, don't cha know?

or I could approve the submissions like this"

Jason was like this, and Lauren was all like that, so they did like not speak to eachother, and like didn't get along, and it was all like retarded and stuff.

Haha....if it wasn't obvious enough, I was only joking.
