In these do you put the general theme of the season? If your show doesn't follow a storyline like "Law & Order" or other shows, what would you put in them?

Yeah the season guides would work best for shows like 24 for example, while shows like Law & Order or Monk wouldn't require one.

Not exactly. Phase 3 completion states: "Seasonal guides must be completed for each completed season and include major plot points, events, love triangles, etc."

Some of the 'etc.' can be stuff like recurring character appearances, changes in the cast, changes in the characters' situations (perhaps marital status, occupation, or something like that) . . .

Even for shows without arching season-long story lines, there are many things you can write about.

In this season Elliot and Olivia helped people in the Special victims unit. Defense attorney Alexandra Cabot was almost murdered, and faked her own death so she could go into the witness protection service. Olivia had to face her past demons. etc.

Here is another example, sans image.
