I was looking at the new "XML Feeds"

Example:
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
http://www.tvrage.com/feeds/showinfo.php?sid=2930

but if you click "All Shows" at the top the url for buffy doesn't have the ID number like many others:

http://www.tvrage.com/Buffy_The_Vampire_Slayer

instead of

http://www.tvrage.com/shows/id-2930

any way to get the show list to show the ID numbers?

If you use this search link (which you can get to by clicking on "search" on the toolbar), and check "Show ID numbers" and "Don't redirect me when an exact match is found", it will display the ID number for any show.

then the only way to get an ID number is to search for each show individually?

any way to have the "Show ID numbers" option on the show list page [ http://tvrage.com/all.php ]?

Unfortunately, that's the only way to find ID numbers at the moment.

But if you'd like to suggest having ID numbers on the all shows list, the idea thread would be the perfect place to do so.

The easiest way i have found that works every time is to do the following:
Navigate to tvshow main page,
Right mouse click on the screen anywhere,
select "view page source",
search "edit/shows"
you will notice that the numbers after this text is the ID for the show.

If a show has a shortcut (custom url), it usually is a more popular show and have had news written about it, and if it has a News link in the Show Menu, click the News link and you will see the show ID in the url

If you use the new site, those buttons aren't available to check.

You can actually just hover the pointer over the News link and see the show ID in the tooltip.

It is rather quite simple. Select an episode of the show you wan to know the id of. When the page with the episode details loads look at the links in the section 'Missing Information' at the bottom of the page, the links there contain the show id within their url between 'http://ww...shows/' and '/episode_extras..' Like 29282 in this link: http://www.tvrage.com/edit/shows/29282/episode_extras/cultural/?eid=1065415617&season=5
