I recently submitted a new person (John Ashby (2) - british actor), as there was already an american actor named John Ashby, but today my sub was rejected because apparently the credit belonged to the american, even though it was a british (ITV) comedy with a totally british cast and i even linked to a bfi page which stated his nationality.
To make things even more confusing, John Ashby (2) has actually been created but some of the credits from John Ashby have been transferred to him.

Could someone please explain to me what is going on as i feel that my sub has probably been unfairly rejected.

Apologies if I was unclear.
but according to my research the credit you submitted belonged to the profile we already had on the site, but I also noticed that the current profile had two credits which did not belong to him, so I later split those into another person.
Feel free to PM me with the link and I will take a look at it again, as I do not recall a link.
