I do not know what the heck has happened to this show. Ashton Kutcher is not a bad actor...it's a great cast. Is it the writing? This show has become so so bad. Even with the character change up, it was still funny for awhile. For about the last month or so, I haven't laughed once, not even a grin. Not even an Oh-My-God-I'm-Laughing-On-The-Inside. Nothing!! It seems also that the more crude and borderline vulgar they become there's an assumption of humor. Not true writers, not true. American pie you are not, you just seem desperate and grasping at straws. I'm almost embarrassed for you.. And the whole Miley Cyrus debacle?? What the Hell??? She is worse than horrible. Exaggerating the stereotypical southern redneck who is so cute in chatting incessantly. NOT!! Her portrayal is hideous and her acting is even worse. I'd rather watch a marathon of Hanna Montana than see this character for one more minute.( At least then I'd get to see the always funny Jason Earles) I've been a long time fan of this show and am saddened to see where it's going. And really? You're going to vomit up the same insane Rose story line? Are you resurrecting the same one liners also, because that'll be next. I'm so annoyed and let down, yet I keep watching in hopes of a miracle. My patience has almost run its course.

I lost the vague interest I had for the show (I've never been a fanatical follower) from the moment that Sheen left. His role as Charlie was a big part of the show and since they cut that off, it got much less interesting for me to watch.

I agree with you Tina, the writers have lost their way. The first half of Kutcher's first season seemed to be an ongoing joke about the length of his male member. And since Sheen's departure, the Alan character has been made into such a pathetic character it literally causes me to cringe. I've commented on this before but how can a character who has a full time job as a chiropractor, pays no rent, alimony or now even child support, be so cheap?

I also keep watching, hoping Chuck Lorre will get his act together. So must most of America 'cause the show appears to be in no danger of cancellation.

I don't know HOW or WHY it happened, but for some bizarre reason, kutcher seems to be the LUCKIEST HUMAN IN HOLLYWOOD.
I think THAT says it all... we're in REALLY BAD shape, people.
