Absolutely. I never got The O.C., never will. The ratings have gone down real bad for that show though. I'm hoping by the end of this season, FOX will finally cancel it.

LOL I know you were just joking. But it's not really just an opinion, the ratings for The O.C. were always in the 10 million+ range during it's first season. Now it's in a 5-7 million viewers range. Sometimes even lower. My older sister used to like it, but even she says the show has gone way down hill. I, personally, never cared for the show that much to begin with.

Yeah, same with me. My older sister loved the series, though I can't possibly understand how after watching a few episodes. I don't know of her current take on the series, but she hasn't been obsessing over it, so I'm guessing she doesn't care for it as much anymore.

While the general answer would be "reality shows," I would have to single out American Idol. What is the appeal of watching people -- a lot of whom simply cannot sing -- trashing famous songs? I would think a more appropriate show would be to see people who can write and perform (with instruments) their own songs, not do a glorified karaoke routine.

Perhaps you may dismiss my complaint as "sour grapes," but my parents paid for music lessons for me, and if parents all over the country (and all over the world) can pay to have their kids learn an instrument, then they should have an opportunity for the fleeting fame that this show affords, not the people who were using their bar of Dial soap in the shower as a makeshift microphone three months ago.

I agree, 100%. If songwriting was added into that mix, the show would be loads better. That show got old after the first 10 weeks.

i completely agree. american idol is so terrible. all it really is is a glorified high school popularity contest. i think they are all the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

That cracked me up. ^o^

Ahhh, I shall admit that I loved the first season of the OC. But I agree that the show got really crummy and I will stop watching it. Now about American Idol, I think it would be interesting to me if they were more of a "Battle of the Bands", they should have to write their own songs and Play them etc... otherwise it is just lame karaoke to me.

I agree about the American Idol comment (which was mentioned earlier), however, I never liked the O.C.... *tiki comes by* ....before the series premiered. After that I loved it! j/k

Here's mine!

Friends
Seinfeld
Lost
Desperate Housewives
The OC
Chappelle's Show
Grey's Anatomy
Prison Break
CSI: LV and all of it's spin-offs - even though I'm a HUGE forensics buff, I've hit my limit of tolerance for BS.
Charmed *ducks* - don't hit me.
24 - while I'll admit to seeing a few good episodes, the UK's Spooks is far more believable though and is more entertaining.
4400
The War at Home - I know it's not that popular, but it did get renewed.
The vast majority of recent American comedies. Yes, I'm biased since I pretty much watch Britcoms exclusively but I have tried to give most of them a fair chance to entertain me ... which ended up being a huge waste of time. Frasier was great, Third Rock from the Sun is still one of my favourites, I was also a devoted viewer of NewsRadio - but what's up with this recent load of crap coming out of Hollywood?

Reality tv - except for the ones PBS has released (i.e. Texas Ranch House)

Finally - any and all trivial teen dream dramas that have been released in the last decade with the exception of DeGrassi: The Next Generation. I'll admit to watching D: TNG and liking it to an extent, but I think it's because I grew up watching the originals.

I wish I grew up watching the originals. There's always youtube though.

I'd like to add more to my list.

Life with Derek- well, it's not popular, but it annoys me. The main character's voice just grinds my gears, and my little sister watches it.
LOST- I would like it, only it's too complex for my taste, hence the fact that I don't get it.
24- I've tried to watch it. It seems pretty good, only if you miss one, you don't understand any of the other episodes.
The Apprentice- Just why?
I forgot the name, but that show on MTV where they sit in a barber shop, and talk.
Boondocks and Aqua Teen Hunger Force- I just don't understand the show..for all I know, it could be good.
Murphy Brown- Why put that on Nick @ Nite, when you could put, idk, the wonder years on.
Family Matters- Should've retitled it Urkel Matters. They focused to much on him.
Instant Star- Eh..it's probably aimed for teenage girls.
Any show about teenagers aimed towards 7-12 year olds...they all use the same storylines.

I'll do a list:

Batman (1966)
Bobobobo (Or whatever)
Pokemon
Pokemon Chronicals
Naturally, Sadie
Hannah Montanna
Yugio
Power Rangers (never understood why it's so popular)
The O.C

Hey, Idol bashers, watch it! I'm auditioning this season so y'all better start watching! You're gonna have the best Idol ever I guarantee it! I'll turn all of you who have said "All those people can't sing worth doo-doo" into hypocrites with your feet in your mouths! Guarantee it!

As for the whole popular show thing, Family Feud. I mean, what dork on drugs came up with that? All these people do is go on there and play cut throat for 20 G's. The only thing that makes it worth watching is that adorable Richard Karn who I'm sure y'all know is leaving soon. Oh well, at least now I can stop watching that hunk of trash they like to call a game show.

The New Adventures of Old Christine, Pepper Denis, Bobobobo , 7th Heaven, Robot Chicken, and American Idol. I can't understand why anyone would watch these shows.

I love American Idol, so I'll keep an eye out for you!

I'm just the opposite with Family Feud. I love the concept but cannot stand Richard Karn. The hosts got consistently worse over the years. Richard Dawson was by far the best. I could tolerate Ray Combs usually. Louie Anderson was...ok. But Richard Karn makes me feel like stabbing myself. I'm pleased he's leaving, but I fear that the next host will be even worse (even though I enjoyed him on Seinfeld).
