many tv series and cartoons make episodes that have a holiday in it, haloween and christmas mostly. (haloween./spooky tipe episodes only air in octobor, and christmassy/december holiday eps only run in july and december.)
but dont you hate it when they only air those episdoes DURING that holiday season? it doesnt truely matter for shows with no continuity, but alot of times there IS important things in said episode, and if they only run once a year it royally sucks.
for instance: ion the cartoon W.I.T.C.H. they aired episodes out of order JUST because a future episode celebrated haloween. i was severly confused at certian things that had happened in it, and didnt understand untill this week's episde.
i have a mild fear that Disney/JETIX/ABC...WHOEVER's incharge...will only run that episode during october. ththe thing is they CANT exclude the episode from sindication because its vital to the plot.
still, do you think its rather unfair that shows exclude episodes from sindicated reruns just because its "out of season" |

I think it's tottaly fair. I'm a Christmas person. I am like the King of Keeping Christmas Spirt. Seeing a holiday special several times out of Christmas Season wears out the spirt of the TV Special. |

I have 8 video tapes (around 16 episodes on each) with just Christmas episodes of TV shows I've taped over the years. Some shows I never really watched but recorded their Christmas episode lol. Everything from Ozzie & Harriet (3 episodes) to Family Matters (2 episodes) to ER and rarities like Bob or Daves World (great 2-part episode). Now I've had the pleasure of collecting them on DVD (so far I have 1 . As for running them out of season, I don't watch much tv unless on DVD but I just saw 3 Christmas episodes last week on TV. |

well, sometimes yes its OK to show them only during the season, but if the episode is vital to the plot, such as "W is for Witch" in WITCH, if they excluded that episode from syndication, that willtotaly cause confuseion |

I'm more against when they ONLY air holiday episodes around the holiday. Like when in syndication a show which airs daily in order, the Christmas episode is skipped even if it may contain continuity and shelved until December. |

Yeah, it's as if the networks have a low opinion of the viewers, as if they can't handle a Christmas episode in May or something. |

Pshaw exactly. I don't know about everyone else, but I wouldn't self-destruct if I saw a Halloween episode of my favorite show in February. I really think I'd be fine.

thats what i meant. this came to ind when they ran an episode of WITCH 3 episodes too soon JUST BECAUSE it was haloween. im sure i wasnt the only one who was confused when matt suddenly gained the ability to turn back into Shagon, JUST AFTER he was saved from that form
which is also why i have a small incling that BECAUSE tis a "holiday" episode, that "W is for Witch" wont egt syndicated because of that. they probably wont even re-air it after "v is for"
[cant tell right now cuz next week is thanksgiving weekend] |

Unfair. They should just randomly show them anytime of the year, not just around that holiday. I can understand a holiday episode to first air around that holiday, but it shouldn't be like that for reruns too. |
