Freaks and Geeks tops my list. If you go way back, Addams Family, Munsters and Gilligan's Island all were canceled while on hiatus and were never given their shot to make it.

Firefly, Fastlane, The Inside, Clerks, Keen Eddie, Daybreak, Jericho, Jack of All Trades, The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr., and many more that I can't think of off the top of my head.

It got really bad there for while, to where I wasn't sure if I wanted to start watching new shows.
