In the spin-off of Archie Bunker's Place, Gloria Bunker Stivic decides to move out of the commune to Upstate New York to start a new life with her son, Joey. There, Gloria finds work as a veterinarian's assistant, and quickly befriends the vet, Dr. William Adams, but has to deal with Dr. Maggie Lawrence, a mean middle-aged woman, and Clark V. Uhley, Jr., a sex-crazed man who Joey befriends.

Gloria ran for 1 season from September 1982 until it was canceled in September 1983.

During its one season span, Gloria received one nomination for a Young Artist Award for Young Actor in a New Television Series for Christian Jacobs portrayal of Joey Stivic.
