Tsukasa, voiced by Brianne Siddall
Tsukasa is a lone wave master. He is very quiet, mainly due to his abusive past in the real world. Morgana has taken advantage of Tsukasa by trapping him inside “the world”, in an attempt to keep Aura from awaking.
Thanks to Morgana, Tsukasa’s memory is jumbled and he has trouble separating his real memories from the fake ones. Throughout his time in the game he tells people that he is a boy in the real world, only to realize, in the end that he is a girl. And as Bear discovered, Tsukasa is a girl in a coma.
After awaking Aura, Tsukasa is able to return to reality, and awakes from her coma. The end sequence shows her meeting up with the person playing Subaru. It is assumed that she goes on to live with Bear as her legal guardian.
NOTE: In the manga, Tsukasa and Subaru end up loving each other. This was changed for the anime as it didn’t want to bring in homosexual relationships into play |
