1 :01x01 - Role Play (Feb/01/2003)
"The World" is the setting for an online game and one player, Tsukasa seems to be outside its rules. He cannot log from the game, feels pain, and doesn't appear to be in front of a terminal. His memory is gone and he is wanted by the Crimson Knights for being seen with a suspicious "cat" character (further refered to as Macha). He flees from everyone throughout the episode.
 
2 :01x02 - Gaurdian (Feb/08/2003)
It appears Tsukasa is outside all the rules of "The World". His guardian actually cause physical damage to a player, and now it ends up turning on Bear and Mimiru.

The Crimson Knights are on a stake out by the Chaos Gate to capture Tsukasa when he goes to log.
 
3 :01x03 - Folklore (Feb/15/2003)
Silver Knight returns to the game. Tsukasa gains control over his gaurdian. The secrets of the hidden item, the Key of the Twilight, remain hidden, but Sora, BT, Bear, Mimiru, Subaru, and Silver Knight plan on finding out more about it, because they believe it is involved with their situation concerning Tsukasa.
 
4 :01x04 - Wanted (Feb/22/2003)
Bear searches for Tsukasa in the real world and finds a girl on life support in the hospital. Tsukasa refutes this saying that he is a boy.

Tsukasa is forced to fight four characters and uses his guardian to thrash them. Subaru orders him captured.
 
5 :01x05 - Capture (Mar/28/2003)
A plan is set into motion by Sora and BT to capture Tsukasa, the Knights follow the plan and with the return of Crim successfully bring him into custody.
 
6 :01x06 - Encounter (Apr/05/2003)
Sora helps Tsukasa escape from his prision. More monsters begin to spring up around the world, and known of them have a master. The watch for Tsukasa is now over as the Knights are forced to increase patrols to watch for the monsters. The Crimson Knights are finally looking at the greater scheme of things.
 
7 :01x07 - Reason (Apr/12/2003)
Mimiru has doubts about continuing contact with Tsukasa. While in this state of confusion, Mimiru runs across a new player named A-20. The two of them complete a difficult dungeon, and Mimiru has renewed hope with Tsukasa.
 
8 :01x08 - Promise (Apr/19/2003)
Mimiru has decided to be more patient with Tsukasa. She sends him a message saying she will wait for him, until he shows up. As she waits for multiple days, she has much attention drawn to her. Various people, such as Bear, and a surprise visit from Sora, help her by lending her their support.
 
9 :01x09 - Epitaph (Apr/26/2003)
Tsukasa is asked to take care of a grunty for a girl who is going away on a trip. Tsukasa reluctantly agrees. On the third and final day, the grunty gets ill, and Tsukasa walks through the snow to find a purple cherry to treat it. However, life is a cruel thing at times, and the grunty dies. Tsukasa could feel the warmth flow out of it. The girl blames him, and though Mimiru stands up for him, Tsukasa takes the blame for its death.
 
10 :01x10 - Compensation (May/03/2003)
Bear's insecurities in the real world come into play as he is seen arguing with his son about a new car. BT tells him that she thinks he's overprotective of Tsukasa and Mimiru because of his feelings of being a bad father in the real world.

Silver Knight steps in between Tsukasa and Subaru and tries to bar them from talking to one another. BT and Crim make plans on how to acquire the key of the twilight after Sora contacted Helba, a famous hacker, who wrote a strange message on the message board concerning the Key of the Twilight.
 
11 :01x11 - Party (May/10/2003)
Bear, Mimiru, and Tsukasa form a party for an event in the world. Tsukasa seems to grow closer to the other two throughout the episode, until the end.

Tsukasa then proclaims them selfish, and says he was being used again. Mimiru throws the amythest at the monster showing she didn't care, and the monster is defeated. It seems that they have finally won Tsukasa over.

At the end of the episode, in the real world, Tsukasa's father tells them to pull the plug.
 
12 :01x12 - Entanglement (May/17/2003)
Feeling her grasp on Tsukasa slip, the omniscient voice (aka Morgana) tightens her grasp on him by binding Aura. Tsukasa is forced to decide between his friends or his comfort zone, and he runs back to the voice and Aura.

Tsukasa's dad pulls the life support and Tsukasa starts to die, luckily the doctors catch on in time and bring him back.
 
13 :01x13 - Twilight Eye (May/24/2003)
Tsukasa sees Morgana for what she is, controlling and vendictive. He decides that Aura isn't going to wake up, and takes it into his own hands to find the Key of the Twilight with Bear and Mimiru. BT has reveales all of Tsukasa's information to Crim and Subaru. And Crim is double-crossing BT with with Subaru.
In the end, BT and Crim find the Eye of the Twilight and awaken it.
 
14 :01x14 - Castle (May/31/2003)
BT, Crim, Sora, Bear, Mimiru, and Tsukasa are all looking for the Key of the Twilight in the "upside down castle". Sora and Crim get in a fight, which they cannot finish due to the place collapsing, in which Sora tells Crim that BT has double-crossed him.

Tsukasa understands that the broken-down old man, is Aura's father, and as they leave, he is confronted by Macha once more. Spoiler: Tsukasa's guardian is after him, and he lets it kill him in place of Mimiru.
 
15 :01x15 - Evidence (Jun/07/2003)
This episode is a recap of the first 14 episodes in relationship to Tsukasa so to speak. It is supposed to be his life, or rather, what he remembers of it, passing before his eyes as he is dying from the guardian. It ends with Mimiru watching in horror screaming, "NO!" and Subaru sensing his pain, calling out for him.
 
16 :01x16 - Depth (Jun/14/2003)
After dying, Tsukasa regenerates. But now he questions whether or not it is still his consciousness streaming through the web, or rather, is he now simply data which is reforming from what he once was...
 
17 :01x17 - Conflict (Jun/21/2003)
As BT runs into various characters, she seems so cold. They flat out agree with her that they don't like her, and that they use her for information; the same way that she uses them. Two guys try to jump her and Tsukasa saves her. Instantly she tells him how somethings are just there, and since they don't cause any harm, people let them be. Its like lettuce, and she just hates it. And in the end, though she still seems distant, Tsukasa and Bear have learned to accept her.
 
18 :01x18 - Declaration (Jun/28/2003)
Subaru learns of Silver Knight's treachery concerning relaying messages from Tsukasa. Silver Knight continues to push the power of the Crimson Knights to "police" status, and in a final confrontation, Subaru disbands the Crimson Knights for good.
 
19 :01x19 - Recollection (Jul/05/2003)
Subaru deals with life inside the game without the Crimson Knights to back her up, with flashbacks of anointing Silver Knight to second in command for the Knights as well as Crim leaving.

Subaru meets another Heavy Axe, who decides to vent her frustration with the Knights against Subaru. Subaru is killed by the Heavy Axe, and once she can stand, runs into a cave, where Tsukasa happens to be.

We get a glimpse of the "real" Subaru as a lady in a wheelchair
 
20 :01x20 - Tempest (Jul/12/2003)
Bear gathers BT, Crim, Subaru, and Mimiru together to seek the Key of the Twilight. BT is playing as a spy and relaying all the information to Sora, and Silver Knight, as the three of them seek the key themselves.

Tsukasa shows Subaru his place of "refuge" where Aura sleeps. However, Aura is gone and Tsukasa has Subaru leave. Once alone with Morgana, it takes control of his body. A strange ball of light envelopes Tsukasa and Morgana tells him that he is no longer needed. In the end, Tsukasa is on the ground. He says, "I'm not me".
 
21 :01x21 - Tempest (Jul/19/2003)
Tsukasa seems to have reached his breaking point as even Macha cannot get through to him. Elsewhere, Bear and the group attempt to find a plan to discover a back up copy of Aura's Father on another server. Bear reaches out with the message boards to get a hold of Helba....

Else where, Macha seems worried about Tsukasa but Morgana tells him to forget about Tsukasa because he is no longer important. This new place they call home after the exodus is dark and evil looking...and in the middle of it all is Aura.
 
22 :01x22 - Phantom (Jul/26/2003)
With the help of Helba, Bear, Mimiru, and Subaru find Aura's father, whose name is Harold. He happens to also be the creator of the world, and reveals to them that Morgana is trying to corrupt Aura, and that she used Tsukasa to do so. Now the race is on for them to get to Aura and stop Morgana.

Sora sees Macha, and as Macha attempts to warp back to Morgana, Sora grabs on to him warping too. Sora has now found Aura...but what else awaits him?
 
23 :01x23 - The Eve (Aug/02/2003)
Crim finds Tsukasa, but Tsukasa is afraid to venture forward. Crim tells him about Subaru being handicapped in the real world and tells him to be strong like her.

Bear, Mimiru, Subaru, Crim, and Silver Knight use one of Helba's portals in an attempt to reach Morgana. Since, Tsukasa hasn't shown up yet, Subaru stays by the portal waiting for him.
 
24 :01x24 - Net Slum (Aug/16/2003)
With the help of Helba, the crew makes it to Net Slum. Tsukasa and Subaru quickly catch up. It is revealed that Morgana's true purpose is to makes sure that Aura does not awaken; and in order for that to happen, Tsukasa must be miserable.

Morgana sends Macha to destroy Subaru, that way Tsukasa will not keep hope. Macha calls a purple version of the Guardian to destroy Subaru, and Tsukasa saves her with his guardian. The two monsters strike each other, and disappear. Tsukasa tells them that he is ready to log out.
 
25 :01x25 - Catastrophe (Aug/23/2003)
Sora and Crim face off, and Crim defeats him. Another greenish version of the guardian attacks Mimiru, Bear, BT, Silver Knight, and Tsukasa, but they defeat it by destroying the ring in the center of it, but they are all drained. 3 more appear and Macha lets them strike him and they all 4 disappear.

Tsukasa and Subaru begin to glow and start to disappear. Mimiru jumps into their aura and disappears with them. At the end, they are falling through a "gate warp".
 
26 :01x26 - Return (Aug/30/2003)
Morgana creates copies of Mimiru, Subaru, and Tsukasa in an effort to pit them against each other. However, Tsukasa sees through her efforts.

The three then proceed to find Aura, and with Tsukasa's touch, the girl is awakened. Helba has Bear, BT, Crim, and Silver Knight, go back to Net Slum. As Morgana threatens them for awakening Aura, Sora jumps in and tells them to warp to Net Slum. He announces his betrayal to Morgana.

Spoiler: Morgana uses her power to keep Sora from warping out. She then knocks the actual person playing the character of Sora, who happens to be only a teenage boy, unconscious

With Tsukasa, Mimiru, Subaru, and Aura in Net Slum, Morgana takes a monster shape and goes after them, but Helba has them abandon the server.

The person, Tsukasa, and the person of Subaru meet in the real world. The end shows the game, and Morgana saying the same words that she said to Tsukasa about them needing each other. Who is the new victim?
 
Intermezzo (Unknown/Unaired)
This episode is about a flashback that MImiru has. It shows how her mentor, who was actually three girls playing the same character, saved her from what was supposedly an unbeatable foe.

Bear and Mimiru go down to the bottom level of the dungeon and see her mentor's sacrifice, a petrification of the character.
 
Unison (Unknown/Unaired)
The remaining traces of Morganna are stamped out.
 
GIFT (Unknown/Unaired)
Helba prepares a hot spring for the characters of the .hack series, but refused to tell them where it is. They all race to find the springs while someone kills the characters one by one.
