This was the last filmed episode of the season. Ron Howard and Donny Most left the series after this season. Howard had signed a contract to direct movies for rival network NBC; Most pursued other projects. They did, however, sign on for the short-lived cartoon spin-off "Fonz and the Happy Days Gang."

Episode Goofs
Eddie complains about his sandwich bread being whole wheat in one scene. However, he does this without even taking off the wrapper.

Potsie's last name is spelled "Webber" in this episode, but in "Beauty Contest," it's "Weber."
