A family comedy from the creators of "St. Elsewhere," It gets off to a slow start with a rather mundane family dilemma.
College student Libby (Nicole Eggert) visits home with her boyfriend (Tyagi Schwartz) with whom she expects to share sleeping quarters. This touches off an expected reaction from overprotective dad (Michael Brandon). But sensible mom (Kate Burton) prevails.
Future episodes reveal that 14-year-old son Jess (Jarrad Paul) and undermining Grandma (Alice Hirson) are more compelling, fun characters. Norman Lloyd, seen briefly as the family's therapist, adds a nice touch.
